Someone mentioned an issue with the soft key lights? There isn't one - the behavior you're seeing is intentional - off when totally dark (or nearly so), on for low light, off for high light conditions. That's how I have it set - if you don't like it go modify it in the CM7 settings screen - I want the backlight on the keypad OFF in complete darkness; you may differ, but I use the phone as an alarm clock at night.

Haptic not being present on the keypad is something internal to CM7 and I haven't found it yet.

The front cam should not support zoom AT ALL. That it does is probably a config error - it's not supposed to as it has no zoom function (or focus function; it's a fixed-focus VGA resolution camera) in the hardware. The "digital zoom" (such as it is, when it works) is nothing more than blowing up pixel size and trashes quality, and thus shouldn't be enabled. I'm not surprised it blows up if you attempt it as I certainly didn't intend for it to work. I'll look at this as I'm doing a few other things with the front cam still; it's likely an error in the definitions for the front cam and should be turned off.

I have it on smartassv2 with it as 122 min and 1024 max and it works flawlessly. (no lag, no hangs, no missed phone calls) I trust your judgement though, and I appreciate you looking into it.

Please help...might have screw up my wife's triumph. Decided to install the final Alpha version to my wife's phone (I have done it to my phone for awhile).

I installed the recovery file image then did the cm7 update after formatting or resetting. When I restart the phone for the first time, it does not give me the initial setup (like the new phone)...in addition, no app market, automatically is booted with live wallpaper. it does give me the cm7 logo at boot. Where did I go wrong? I thought it would be a piece a cake since I did it to my phone so many times

You also need to install the Gapps zip on the new build.

I installed gapps the first time...I thought it was the reason for the screw up. Restarted the process with re format then re installed without it....same problem. Btw, I thought gapps was for google voice/video. Pardon my newbie...

gapps includes all of the standard Google apps including the market, maps, navigation, etc. It is no longer included with the rom, so after you flash cm7, you must flash gapps.

install the final rom then install gapps.zip that will install over the files from the rom with gapps.zip files. :cool:

Just went through the whole process again of recovery image, update CM7 and Gapps...still no market and initial setup screen.

This time I wiped Devlik, battery, cache partition, and reset / format data...still no luck

On the positive note, she can access internet and make phone calls...just no apps. And I don't know what else yet.

That's because you probably flashed the wrong gapps. Download the one with the base google apps (the first link of the two in the OP), not the google talk one.

also gapps.zip is on the first page grab it from there.

i know this is a lil off topic but would it be possible to do hdmi in(instead of out) on the triumph. i want to connect my devices that have hdmi onto it. i like to frankenstein my devices at times.

i know hdmi out is 720p and we have a 480p screen

The first one has everything- market, talk, setup wizard, search box, services etc.
The second one just has new version of talk and nothing else

I wiped /system the installed 10/12 but the front cam still crashes when you try to take a picture. Any ideas?

Same here. I waited before I posted on this so I could try everything to correct the issue but I still get FC. Definitely not a big deal because I never take pics with this cam. It does work for me with video chats. No problems there

Yeah my ffc wont take pics either, also, now my lgcamera that i used to record video with no longer works, whatever i record with it only plays halfqay thru then the video freezes but audio still plays, i know its not the lgcamera or the video player, any ideas wat it could be?? I really hate recording with the stock camera since the audio sounds shitty

I'm getting the FC issue with a slight twist (running A.08), I can take pictures but trying to view anything in the gallery causes an FC. This is not too bad as I can use other file managers to view pics, but it is a bit annoying.

Other than that, this build is amazing. Also loving the battery life. It's been 12 hours now and battery is still at 88% - using juice defender w/ default settings + smartassv2.

Slight issue here... when I press the power button to wake the phone up, there seems to be a delay from when the lockscreen actually comes up.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?
