Help In-pocket detection does NOT work

Hello,
I recently bought my D3 and I love the heck out of it! I have had no problems with it at all(knock on wood):p. BUT I found one error that is not too big but is one thing I wish worked-In pocket detection. It straight up does not work. Ive tried putting the phone in my pocket a different way and still nothing. IF you have any suggestions dont be afraid to post them. Thank you everyone!

I've tried to use the "In-Pocket Detection" and it really doesn't seem to do much for me. The only thing it did do for me was randomly lock my phone when i was in a dark room, even when doing things! (I know it was in-pocket because the issue went away when i turned it off)

My best suggestion is to get in the habit of pressing the lock button before putting it in your pocket. Not the best solution though, sorry

Basically, the phone has to go into the pocket completely upright for the in pocket detection to work. That means straight up... not leaning to one side or the other, or forward or back.

Turn the pocket detection and then look at the phone in the upper right, near the camera, in a VERY dark room, you will see a very faint red light. You have to have the phone positioned upright. It's a VERY faint red light, and you may actually have to let your eyes adjust for a bit in the dark to see it. Once you zero in on that red light, notice that if you move the phone away from it's upright position, that light goes out. It's only when you see the light (phone upright) that the detector will properly work when you put it in your pocket. Neall
