( Steven: Feel free to use this for the OP
)
Build Quality:
- The outside is plastic but it feels nothing like a Samsung phone. My Google employee friend said there is metal inside for support and good feeling
- it has a samsung plastic outside but it doesn't feel that way in hand
- this plastic feels awesome though, like futuristic an stuff
- Its a dark silver
Camera:
- same as gs2 i think, 8mp
Size:
- feels like it's a bit bigger than my thunderbolt
- in between thunderbolt and infuse
- not as drastically curved but super thin! thinner than iphone 4s
Screen: amazing, its 720p
Carriers: [is not sure except for verizon]
Processor: 1.5 ghz dual core TI omap
ICS/Software:
- the browser rocks, its tabbed and super snappy.
- nothing great about the otherapps, just different looks
- sooooo awesome! it is blue like the leaked pics is smooth
- so much more smooth and intuitive, also google's widgets look really nice
- ics has much better hardware acceleration
- [Do the buttons go landscape when the phone is turned landscape, or do they stay where they are?] They turn just like incredible 2
- pure vanilla
- [3D transitions when switching between homescreens?] Not 3D but really smooth, everything flowed nicely just like iOS 5
- [when the buttons hide does that space become usable?] It makes the app fill the space where the buttons were
Speed Test:
- Verizon, about 25mbps down and 10 up
Battery:
- but 1900 mah battery i think
- removable
Name:
- [is it going to be called the Galaxy Nexus?] unless google/verizon/samsung makes a last minute name change, which is possible he said then yes
Release Date:
- no release date guys
Hardware:
- it also has a new LTE modem in it and it is faster
- Touch sensitive bezel
- Dual flash
- Yes an LED next to the speaker grille
- [How big is the hump?] Its about the same as nexus s.
Other:
- [any surprises?] there is optimization for the OS to use 2 cores which rocks, and the launcher is great, multitasking is just like honeycomb too
- [How bright is the LED Notification Light? Does the phone feel gigantic in the hand?] Its bright, no because of the curve, and it feels big but still usable and pocketable
