What did you do to fix it?

downloaded anycut from the market, launched the app, selected new shortcut, scroll down to "select COMP mode" something like that...a shortcut will be created on one of the homescreens, launch it, and disabled will be checked, select diag instead and plug in your triumph and you'll finally get the usb connected notification on your hone!

Sometime last night I started receiving FC's on SMS. I am not receiving texts at all - not good, since my sister is preggo and that's how we stay in touch. I took all the themes off that I was playing around with in case one of them was corrupted, since this happened while I was in the middle of playing with a bunch. Have rebooted, pulled batt, etc. Full service, phone and wifi and other such works. Any thoughts on what I should do next? I am on the latest build. Thanks, MP
Edit: factory reset and reflashed, everything is fine sms wise now. I will attempt to find out what did this and report if I can. Themes that I had been going through last night seem fine applied one by one, but the MIUI theme manager today is asking me if I'd like to update the themes to the newest version, where it hadn't last night.
Re-Edit: playing with themes and SMS gone again, tested with multiple senders. Don't know if service blipped or this is MIUI- received some texts, not others. The delay is quite considerable, something like forty minutes to two hours. Problems with SMS continuing, theme manager for MIUI keeps FC'ing and themes won't apply correctly. For the SMS and wifi sleeping, returning to stock for a bit. Found my way back to pre-MIUI using nandroid restore - hope this was the right way to do that lol. Be back soon :)

Well, I got distracted again. While searching through the stock ROMs framework, I found something completely missing from MiUI/CM7: any sort of HDMI support. That's probably why HDMI doesn't do anything at all.

I'm trying to add HDMI support to CM7 as you can see here: https://github.com/ikarosdev/android_frameworks_base/commit/6114f5c93033fd75b136dfea905f4c5988067030

I'm sure with TG's magic touch/help, we can get this working. However, I doubt that this can be included into MIUI, but then again, I didn't think MIUI would get this far.

Can't wait to see if it works. Working on getting some big donations from me...? Lol you can get an hdmi cable Friday after I make my donation.

Okay, after waiting for a data drop the entire day yesterday (which, of course, didn't happen), I decided to let it sleep overnight. This is usually when I wake and find a dead data connection. I did. Well, guess what? TG's fix works for MIUI too! Check logcat and it hit the check, logged it, fixed it. Went to my browser and data was working. No stupid toggle trick or Juice Defender should be required anymore. Excellent work from TG, as always.

About the crappy graphics performance (both in everyday usage and gaming), I think I've found the problem, but it's not a simple fix. It has to do with the move to VMSPLIT3G. The kgsl drivers, I think, need a bit of redoing. That will be a project for when I find time.

Also, I've been testing MMS for a couple days now. I've been waiting to receive one of those damn 9999999 garbled messages. I haven't got even one of them. I think it's safe to declare a success on MMS.

There's still some work. For every bump to a new release, everything has to be decompiled and started over again. I've decided to put up everything I have changed in the smali code so someone else can work on MIUI. I've been spending too much time working on MIUI and not enough time on school.
how do we do the data fix?
now on second thought, maybe my email was not pushing and new contacts were not syncing because sync was off? i thought it was on automatically. im on stock now, but is there a toggle for sync? i dont remember there being one in miui

As much as I dislike iOS i am blown away with how much I like MIUI. It seems to run amazingly well for me, with only a couple of minor issues (most were noted already) The only thing making me worried is the excessive amount of time it sometimes takes to wake the screen. It's rebooted a couple of times during this, however I attribute this to being an early stage release.

Great work, you have my gratitude! :)

It doesn't, but Isaac's the one that got CM7 going and ported MIUI for us. I figured he would be the one to ask for a ICS port. If we don't get one I'll have to spend a ton of money on a Galaxy Nexus and my phone bills will skyrocket...

hope so, but isaac already stated he's going to start focusing more on school so we might not get MIUI updates anymore unless someone else steps up to the plate

grrr first post long time lurker. i cant wait for the update srsly ive been checking the forum several times a day. mms and the 3g fix are what ive been waiting for in a ginger rom. also really interested in miui never used it on any of my other android devices. its kinda what ive been looking for theme wise! i think when the update hits it will be worth a donation also keep up the great work guys. i understand how hard it is to go from 2.2 to 2.3 with little to no source to work with from motorola grrr. i would be on tinkerguys cyanogen but i want to be overclocked a bit to 1.5 ghz seems stable to me. i enjoy all the hard work you doisaacj without you my phone would be plane all blah with mediocre performance thanks!!!!! :D

You won't be able to overclock on MIUI either.... Isaac's not supporting OC'ing with his kernel in MIUI iirc.

I've been testing the new build for the last couple of days and I've come to these conclusions:

1) MMS/SMS is completely fixed. Not only can I send and receive MMS/SMS in a timely manner, I no longer get those weird 9999999 garbled text replies.

2) The data drop problem is gone. I haven't lost my connection in days. In doesn't matter what I'm doing either. (i.e. Letting it sleep for hours, leaving it overnight, plugged in on USB, coming off of WIFI, etc.). If I swap out the new framework with the old one, the problem rears its ugly head again. Seems like the new one is working quite well.

The new build (coming tomorrow 10202011-x) will include:

- New build of MIUI 1.10.14
- MMS fix
- Data drop fix
- ICS default font "Roboto"
- The ability to add boot animation sounds (it will be disabled by default, but curious users can set it and use their own custom boot sound).

I've also been chatting up some people from MIUI.us. I've already ported the Triumph from MIUI.us's DHD ROM and the conversion went okay. I don't know why they're different, but they are. Maybe I can get the Triumph included here: http://romsmaster.miui.us/ or http://miuiandroid.com/roms/miui-development-roms/

Unfortunately, we're still being ignored about being included in ROM Manager. Since I have no control over that, we're stuck to the forums for now. I want to get OTA updates going for both CM7 and MIUI (and any other Triumph ROMs out there).

As some of you may know, I'm back on CM7 trying to get HDMI. I'm getting close, but I won't have time to work on it until after next Monday. In any case, I'll clean up MIUI and package the new "production" build after my exam tomorrow.

Happy MIUI-ing guys.
