How to backup from Desire HD & restore to Galaxy s2

Hi guys

My first post. I scour through google and i guess no one has posted this before.

I like to know how I can backup my apps (some i have paid) from htc desire hd and then restore it on antoher phone Samsung Galazy s2? I have tried Monsteraps but it will not see the archive in S2. I tired titanium but it asked for rooted..(i dint pursue any further as I am not sure about the warranty)

Can anyone suggest some apps for this?

Your apps are linked to your Google account, so if you log into ur Google account on the GS2 it should start downloading them automatically.

i noticed that... however at desire, tehre is no sync happening... or i have not set it up... although the gmail is running all the time. how do i link it on desire?

If you signed into your gmail then it should be set up. But just to make sure, go into Settings > Privacy and check the two boxes about backing up and restore.
