***initial nexus buyers!!!***

If Nexus outsells RAZR despite Verizon/Moto's intense marketing strategy, no doubt we'll see more Nexuses (Nexi?) on Verizon. Yes, they crave control. Yes, they love to put bloat on locked-down phones. However: their primary fiduciary obligation to its shareholders is to make money. If this Nexus makes them tons of money, we will almost certainly see another one in the future.

So let's buy buy BUY this phone! :)

I hope the issues arent that bad, like they were with honeycomb.

Well I never bought a honeycomb device, so I can't comment. But as an initial purchaser of Android (g1) and Nexus S, I fully expect issues to be present at launch. From app compatibility, to ICS issues. But knowing how supportive Google is with their supported devices, I will never buy anything else again if possible! If anyone doesn't want to share the growing pains but still wants an awesome device supported by Google, I would say a two month wait after the phone is launched would be sufficient. This way most ICS issues would have been resolved and most popular apps would be compatible.

Then one month if your carrier wasn't able to provide at the initial launch date like everyone else. This way whatever issues may arise due to carrier compatibility would have already arisen and probably worked out.

Of course, this is just my suggestions based on my experiences, and what I have seen with previous issues.

Excellent point. I've only owned the original Droid which wasn't filled with Verizon crap, so I have no experience to draw from here, but I agree that if people rush out and buy the phones on Verizon that aren't locked down and filled with crap, that will help Verizon to make the right choice of offering more phones like this.

Since the phone has been released, and is starting to in many places, I thought I would bump this thread. I have noticed people are freaking about things not working, or not being compatible. Remember, we will be the testers of ICS on this phone before it goes to the masses. Also, it will take time before developers take advantage of having the source code for their apps.
