Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

I am running a 32G card as well.

So do you think that I should download it again, and try to flash it?

Also, I noticed in that video above, that it is orange writing, mine is blue, I thought we were supposed to use the blue one.

Thanks!!

What brand is the card. This could be one of the reasons and I myself consider it a big deal. If is Samsung, sandisk, Motorola, etc big companies than your good. Some lower generic brands aren't very reliable. I have about 14 SD cards in different sizes and 2 of them I have probs with. 1 of them is generic while another has no brand. These two do not work at all.

It's sandisk

If you're running a 32GB data card that may be the problem.

I bought a 32gb card, worked great for awhile. I threw a ton of stuff onto it and suddenly when it was about half full, anytime I would try to write *anything* to it the phone would reboot. I figured it was just a bad card and returned it, wound up getting a different 16gb one which works fine.

So I guess this phone doesn't seem to like 32gb cards?

Edit: oh and I see your card was a PNY, that's the card I tried too. So maybe it is just that brand?

First of all, thank you so much for the time and effort you have put into this. Secondly, I am really enjoying this mod!

Now, I am unable to get the WiFi setting to where it never sleeps. I set it in the gui but I guess that the changes don't hold, since every time the screen turn off, then back on wifi disconnects for a bit. Any help would be appreciated.

Read the first 4 posts in the thread. All of them. Hint: it's in post 4. It's not just you, but asking about something that has been thoroughly explained through this entire thread is getting old.

I agree, its getting annoying that people cant read the first few posts that explains what works and doesnt on this rom, especially this wifi thing, feels like there's someone else askin about it everyday

My solution to that is quite simple. I will never respond to anyone who asks a question like this, ever again, period. My time is valuable and if you can't be bothered to read what is clearly documented you've removed yourself from being able to gain my attention and assistance.

I would like to point out that unless someone has followed this thread closely it has become difficult to locate a single post in well over 2000 posts... that being said (except tg who's d**k has to be at least 9 miles long(compliment), thank you for all you hard work btw) should people read the first few posts... YES lol but should we flame them for asking something they maybe don't understand... probably not. Off topic and I'm sorry but my two biggest pet peeves are trolls and flamers... Ticker this is your thread you ignore/flame anyone you want(perks of a nine mile package lol) thanks again for all your hard work!!!!

I have a 32gb sandisk and works amazingly well.

I understand what you're saying. You've done amazing work on getting this ROM stable. But a few pages back I made a suggestion to add this glitch to the main list of "What's known BROKEN". Or add an '*' in the "What's working" section for wifi.

It would save a ton of people from posting the same question over and over, and having a ton of others replying with multiple posts saying to read the entire thread.

I realize it's listed on the first page, but it's down where less-knowledgeable people will continue reading. The average user reads through the first post, sees everything they care about is working and installs the ROM without reading further. Yes, that's their problem, but it leads to more repeat posts about issues they're having.

And I'd like to just say that I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I'm trying to help reduce some of the clutter postings (which I am sometimes guilty of, sorry).

The first post says you would be wise to read the entire set of initial posts - the announcement, the versions, the release notes and the implementation notes - with each release.

If you don't bother, that's not my problem - it's yours. And in this specific case this has been in those notes since the first releases, since it's not a new issue at all.

I am not a kindergarten teacher, I am a software developer and businessman who does this on his spare time and gives the effort away with no expectation of renumeration. My time is limited and so is my patience. I am willing to help people but not when "help" means "I didn't read the instructions and am whining about something known and documented to behave differently than I expected."

Using Beta 3, my phone rings once, I tap the power button to turn the screen on and see who is calling and my phone reboots (screen never turns on). This happened to me on two consecutive calls. I'm not sure if tapping the power button caused it to reboot, or if it was already rebooting at that point. Unfortunately, I really needed to use my phone, so I restored back to stock firmware before performing more tests.

That's odd - my screen comes on when it rings. I think pushing the power button is supposed to send it directly to voice mail (or maybe it just ends the ring and powers off the screen?).

Well that's quite insane to not read through it. This thread was created for informational/useful purposes. It's meant for people to absorb and fully appreciate. If people are just reading the first two posts they will likely miss a lot of information.

As this is ongoing work I think it would be impossible to sum up everything that is working and not working in one or two posts. If a person cannot take the time to read it through, The issues they have are going to be all on them. You take credit for your actions.

Besides people like TG and Isaac are doing us a service. They really don't have to, Nor do they have to help us either. When they do we should respect it enough to read it fully. =]

Android Forums may be free to access but I can assure you that it's anything but barely moderated, so I would strongly advise everyone to take a deep breath and refamilarise themselves with the Site Rules before continuing.

AF has a reputation as a friendly community that welcomes members of all ranges of experience. Let's keep it that way please by offering advice with tact and patience, not ridicule and insults.

I don't want to dwell on this, so I'll just make this last post on the subject.

My point wasn't so much to inform those who don't want to take the time to read through everything, sure, it's their problem. It's to stop some of the (all too repeated) posts about issues people are having.

You're perfectly correct in saying that what they're doing is a free service, and we're all extremely thankful for that.

I'll keep watching the ROM as it continues to grow. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I get the feeling that it was already rebooting by the time i tapped the power button, but since I have my phone set to ring once, I couldn't immediately tell if there was just a problem with the screen coming on or if it was already rebooting.

Even though I have not use any of these custom roms, I am very impress by the awesome work. I want to thank Ticker, Isaac, and others for their time and effort. :)

Motorola should be embarrassed that random people in a forum are able to release roms to fix issues to the phone.

You guys in this forum have my respect. As for Motorola, you suck.

I wouldn't consider Tickerguy some "random" person. He is more than qualified for building these ROM's ;)

Did you do a full wipe? Also, perhaps there is an issue with your permissions (which can also be fixed in CWM, I believe), and lastly, were you running an overclock kernel or anything?
