Is there a way to ignore a wifi network?

There is a network I keep getting connected to every couple of hours. Although the signal from my wifi is showing as the strongest one, it keeps disconnecting and connecting to this other one with a 'poor' signal quality. I have to forget this other network and then I can connect to my own again, but a few hours later I get reconnected to the network I had previously forgot. Is there a way totally ignore a specific network to stop this happening? I'm currently running gingervillain 3.3.
Thanks.

So you hold down on the WiFi network and select "Forget"? And when you do, it reconnects after several hours despite it being the weaker signal between itself and yours?

Is this the case?

That's correct. I have just been going through the settings and while I was on the networks menu, it re-remembered the problem network 3 times. I clicked on it then forget and it goes to the bottom of the list, then a couple of a second later it moved to the top saying 'remembered, not in range'. After the third time it did finally forget but it will probably be remembered again soon.
