Glad you like it. I can't seem to go 2 years without needing to upgrade

I'm doing my best to be better about it. I can't afford to dump as much as I'd like to into new toys. This should last me a bit and my upgrade is still intact so when something catches my eye again comes along I can snag it. I really like HTC devices so I'm glad I didn't wait and get the Samsung just because it's the first ICS device.

When I first read the title of this thread...I got a little excited! I mistakenly thought there was a slight possibility that someone was doing some research for a class action! I'm on board for it! I'd say 6 months of free sevice and a brand new rezound or razr would suffice. False Advertising?!?

Due to battery life or what?

What false advertising. With your post there's nothing to go on other than you feel out are entitled to something or just want free stuff

Gingerbread 6 months later. skype 6 months later. A half decent phone......6 months later. This was suppossed to be my FIRST smart phone.....turned out to be a pretty dumb phone! I have had 5 of them so far and my most recent still has problems! I'm not going to root, as I expect a manufacturer to sell a working phone out of the box. I'm having a hard time believing you 'yeahha' with as smart as you seem to be are going to deny me that...

Class action = we get an early upgrade price and lawyers get all the $$$.

I don't expect my phone to be smart out of the box generally because I expect the OEM to think the user is going to be too dumb to root the phone. Even stock the phone is a decent experience, not to mention leaps and bounds above any feature phone you can go out and buy.

When you purchased the phone there was no promise of GB being on the phone. In fact a rep from TPC recently said that a 6 month turn around time from initial release to update to GB was very good for the bolt.

As to skype, I am not sure why you expected skype to work as it was never advertised, Set Your Location and The ThunderBolt

Haha were you going to advise against purchasing this?

I'm liking it a lot actually. It's a hell of a lot faster than my old device.

No I would have been its biggest supporter, but I got one that was perfect with no issues that are labored over here.

Put a Big honking battery (a good one)on it and I was set to go.

Call me one of the lucky ones. So lucky they shipped two of everything Extended Battery, SEIDIO Shock Case and Car Charger all going on Ebay where someone will get a great deal.

I *had* a lot of complaints about mine. Texting the wrong person, rebooting, in-call volume wouldn't adjust, notifications wouldn't work (Have to call voicemail to see if there was a new one), glitches and freezing, and of course battery life.

The most recent update to GB a few days ago finally fixed nearly all my remaining complaints. The only thing I could knock it for at this point is the top button is hard to push (it sunk in) and it has been dropping internet connection (3G/4G) here and there for some reason (last few days), maybe an issue the past couple of days with VZ network. I do wish it had a better camera and speakerphone, but it's at least average in those categories so hard to complain

Even the battery life is CLEARLY better after the update. I was at <20% after a day at work off the charger (~9 hrs, few emails, texts, ~30 mins calls), now I'm ~50% so far every day.

I still may replace it with a Galaxy Nexus or a Droid Razr in a month to give my son his first phone for his bday, but that depends on the reviews of these new phones. It appears to be a very solid option now that I have no issues with recommending.
