Root [ROM] Team Nocturnals Xplod E4G RLS1.2 (10-27-2011)

I'm loving this ROM but WiFi doesn't want to stay connected for some reason. Anyone else seen this issue?

Download spare parts + from the market, go into the wireless settings and set the wifi sleep policy to never. By default, it sleeps when the screen goes off and reconnects everytime you wake the phone up. That may help...

I haven't used the Xplod in a bit. The last time I used it I liked it. Now I'm loving it. I really like the new bootanimation. I also like that I did not have to reinstall any apps. Xplod installed them all for me. (I still have to reset the data) I almost thought It wasn't going to work and when it did come up I was like dang (actually said another word) this thing takes for ever to load up. So I went to the apps to get to settings and BAM all my apps were there installed. I though to myself Holy Crap (use of another word) This F*&#$^! (couldn't think of a word to use) thing is AWESOME.

I'm really liking it so far. There's a few minor things that bug me, but they're known AOSP things and not necessarily ROM specific. Best thing for me is being able to use an SBC kernel again. I'm at 44% battery left and I've been off the charger almost 12 hrs, puts the battery use of Sense to shame :) :) :)

Plus, I flashed the RLS 1.2 and only reinstalled 42 of my apps, but still have 330-340mb internal memory left. Warm and fuzzy memory feeling achieved lol

This is my first AOSP rom and I like this a whole lot better that the sense stuff. Other than the bugs that everyone knows about with the fixes that are readily available there is only one thing that is bugging me. I keep getting a notification that I have 2 regular voicemails and no its not the 9016 thing I used the posted fix for that already. I just keep getting the same exact message in my notification bar that I have 2 voicemails and when i call( see its not the vvm either) there are never any messages. Its kind of annoying, has anyone else ever had this issue?

it is a text message notification that you are getting? or is it from your vvm? if it is text you can try and blacklist the number. i do not remember getting that other then the 9016 messages.

No its not a text message or my vvm its just a message telling me to check my regular voicemail that automatically dials me into the voicemail system but there are never any voicemails.

yeah i do not know if there is a fix for that. all of the sense 3.5 roms that i have tried have that as well. i just go to settings/calls/and clear voice mail notifications.

I haven't had that issue on this ROM. I do know what you're talking about though, I had it when I first flashed an AOSP ROM (CM7). Back then, there were all these funky vvm fixes and hotspots fixes, no telling what exactly it was I did that fixed it. I'm sure it had something to do with reflashing a different Sprint vvm file and/or reflash of the ROM altogether.

I have a question about this Rom. I haven't been on it since ver 1.2 I think. With that one you needed to get rid of the a2sd function with Terminal Emulator. Is this still true?

I've tried flashing this a few times and have had problems with the market and reboots.

I've made a Nand of it and loaded it into boot manager and also tried flashing right into boot manager and neither way is working for me.

I've got a2sd working successfully on mine. I used terminal and disabled a2sd, rebooted, then reran it in terminal, then changed the Xplod settings to install all apps externally, THEN I restored my apps from titanium. Granted I only restored 42 apps, and now I have about 47 apps total, but I'm still around 320+MB free space internally. It took some trial and error to get that method down, as it was definitely not acting right at first. I think I've only had 1 reboot since I've been on the latest version, but I got them more frequently on MikG's ROM's. I don't use Boot Manager though, not sure if that plays a part in your issues.
