Esteem General Issues Thread

When someone makes a gingerbread rom for revolution hopefully we can port it over. Or we'll be getting ics before that? :p

This phone comes with Gingerbread already on it.

Exactly. That's why the LG Rev guys wanted our files, so they could port over to Gingerbread 2.3. Our phone is better than the LG Revolution in that respect. LG still has not released Gingerbread for the Revolution -- the Rev still has Froyo 2.2, but our sibling phone comes with it.

The two differences between the LG Rev and the LG Esteem are they have bigger internal memory but we have the newer OS.

Now using our files if the Verizon LG Rev guys create a Gingerbread 2.3 CUSTOM ROM with recovery for their phone, THEN perhaps we can use that to also have recovery for the LG Esteem. They would be porting our files over for their phone, then we would be porting them back but with the additional functionality their developers would be adding. We can start tweaking our Esteem even more.

The Revo officially has GB. They used our root exploit to get theirs rooted after the update. Hope we can get their recovery ported soon.

I've had the phone for about three weeks, and I've had the following problem since I bought it: When attaching to blue-tooth in my car, if I'm on one call, and another call comes in, the speaker goes dead. I have to toggle blue-tooth off, and use the handset, plus it drops the first call. I've had another android and not had this problem. I've searched the net for this issue with other phone, but haven't found it. Anyone have any thoughts? I'm rooted, and I already wiped the phone and restored it, still have the problem. Can't swap calls, without losing bluetooth connection.

I have just started have issues with my phone turning off and re-starting. Has any one else had this issue? It seems to only happen when I have It on the charger in, which is pretty much anytime I am near an outlet or in my car with the car charger. It has woke my up in the middle of the night the last two nights. I hear that, "Metro PCS, hello, hello, hello, wireless for all", and I look at my phone and the battery is down, even though it has been plugged in all night.

I bought it two weeks ago and I have not rooted it or modified it in anyway.

I'm having a similar issue to where my phone is connected to my charger the icon is showing charging but it's not charging so if I plug the charger in it states 50% I check 10 mintures later & it's at 40% so I have to pull the battery or reset or even change USB cord & charging module.

My phone stopped working out of no where. The power button isn't responding (only to turn off the phone) and the other buttons and screen aren't responding either. The only way to turn on the screen is to connect it to the power. Its not rooted so I don't know what could have gone wrong. Its from wireflyso before I have to call and maybe have to wait two weeks for a replacement im hoping some can help me.

Nvm I answer my own question. Power and volume resets the phone originally I did it but I was holding the volume button wrong. You have have to hold it in the middle where both up and down are pressed. Phone working now. I believe the problem was that I have advance task killer and memory boost both killing that it some how killed the stock launcher or application it wasn't registering my touch. That's just a guess but I'm letting you guys know just in case. Downloading the memory boost was the last thing I did.
