Can't upload a video recorded on the phone to YouTube - 1GB Limit?

Adding to the pile. I can't upload videos that are clearly under 1 GB, (225 MB) although one that was 32.3 MB uploaded fine but it did require a Wi-Fi connection.

Not happy
Same EXACT stuff happening to me. Def not a sprint problem, i'm vzw.
It's a YouTube limitation. The "1GB" error is just a typo, it should say 100MB.
Pretty sure youtube really does have a 1GIG limit....
I have uploaded 720 vids no issue as long as they are under 1gb. I know
wifi vs 3g is size Dependant.... and if it is over 1gb I have to drag it over to my desktop and upload it that way.

Unfortunately it doesn't take much to reach the size limits...I tried uploading a 4min 720 video last night and it wouldn't go....anything over a minute must use wifi...and anything under a min works fine over 3g.

who put the caps there? the youtube app or htc?

Can anyone confirm this?? I know this thread is old but having just now ran into this problem trying to upload my daughters middle school band vid i took (5 mins, 720)

ps: moved this from evo section to app section

ok I've got a embarrassing problem, basically I play tennis and record myself, the file is also on my p.c, but the file was Bluetooth to me from my friend sg2 to mine, he recorded it in 720, but when I upload it to YouTube it will only play 480?
I've looked everywhere to try and find if I can put it up as 72011 but carnt, help me

Is there any alternative apps for uploading to youtube? This is one of the reasons why I got a stinking smart phone was to take videos and upload them direct, not to go through my laptop.

I have been using Youcast for sending/receiving video to friends for quite a while. There is no limitation of file size. Yes, you can also send video to youtube and facebook.
It's available at android market

It has been a long while since I've encountered trouble with uploading my videos....but when i first got the phone i had trouble but resolved it by only having one google account on my phone...i believe those days are over because i now run with three google accounts on my phone...
but now I have had trouble with this since I took my video last night tried all evening to upload and again tonight...I read the post above this one and gave that a try. It didn't work exactly, but by me opening the you tube app I signed out and signed in then upload right from the you tube app by hitting menu on my phone..it hung on first try .., canceled and tried again..bam! It worked just like it is suppose to. I then upload another with no problem and it was a very fast upload
