Help To buy or not to buy...

Now finally when I had finalized to buy Thrive, i read today that tablets with Tegra-3 are coming soon (before the end of this year) as well as about the Toshiba REGZA AT700 (Toshiba Launches World?s Skinniest Tablet).

I'm confused if I should buy the thrive or wait for the tegra-3 tablets as thrive would be obselete in 2-3 months

If you wait to buy because the next technology which is "coming soon" will be the latest and greatest, then you will never end up buying!

lolz very true, i read that a long time back somewhere that its good to wait for the next good thing to come out but for how long

but i guess if tegra-3 tablets are coming this year, it would be better to wait, also keeping in mind that tablets are a relatively new phenomena ... (oh well...reasons reasons

With no release date for any new 10-inch tablets in sight, I'd say buy what you can get now. In today's climate of announcing a device months in advance while the public waits with angry anticipation for a release date, I'd say that if any Tegra-3 devices were going to be released before the end of the year we would have seen some announcements by now.

Computers have quad core processors, Yet programs are still slowly beginning written to take advantage of that. I think you will be fine. Most Apps are not even fully written to take advantage of all the power under the hood. I really think it will be fine. The thrive will be up to date on android as well, the newest ice cream sandwich will run on it no problem. Wait if you want, but I am getting the thrive on black Friday. =]

Didn't I read that the Transformer Prime is only being "announced" in a few days? Maybe wait for that announcement to see if they have a release date along with it. I may stand by my statement that announcements are usually not followed up with a release for a month or more. Again, depends on when you want your tablet.

oh damn, bloody announcement

... i want it now!!! but i'm not sure if it will run all the applications i want it to, which i can currently use on my desktop pc and laptop. So, after a lot of thinking i guess i'll wait a little more
