flashed the new build, same problem with other keyboard apps not working. i followed tweaksrevenge's instructions exactly on replacing settings.apk also wiped both caches in recovery and still i cant choose another keyboard. mms doesnt work. i applied the patch but it still doesnt work.

checking the wiki is the best way to keep track of updates etc

My wife is using better keyboard with no issues and was using the gingerbread kb b4 it. Are you enabling the KB in settings b4 trying to set it to default and using it?

the problem with enabling it is that when i put a check in the box for the keyboard i want to use as soon as i leave that screen the check dissapears and it never gets selected. in the september build i had the same problem on 2 different optimus m phones after just checking the box for around a half hour touchpal finally got selected (only one of 10 keyboard apps to stay selected) then when i tried to select input method and select touchpal the selection there would never stick. took hours and hours before it finally selected and was usable. flashed your new october build and have the same problem. i dont want to spend that kind of time for a stupid keyboard again. and again i tried it on 2 different optimus m phones. same result. i made a backup and flashed back to bobs rom because i can select any keyboard i want with his. however his doesnt have the option to select a ringtone for txt messages, which my wife wants, and yours does. so id like to use yours but the keyboard thing is a deal breaker. cant get mms on either rom but i can live with that. if theres a way i can fix the keyboard let me know

otherwise ill wait for your next build and see if it works for me.

try reflashing rom, and flash mms fix after first reboot. worked for me no mms problems.

playfulgod your the sh!t, love the work you put in. now i got a problem(ofcourse) im running your current build overclocked 748, and i cant download any mp3 music, ive tried several mp3 apps including the one i used to download all my music before. The app says download failed, size 0kb, bitrate 0kbps. Im not sure if the rom has anything to do with it, metro just updated the 3g coverage here but theres no 3g data coming with the icon, so i blocked it using lte on/off app. plus my gf has same phone not rooted and has same music dl problem. idk wtf to do im using polly tones for ringtones and not liking it. not your fault i kept all music after flashing rom but lost all sd card content trying to partition card w/o knowing what i was doing.

I'd lose LTE On/Off as it doesn't work with CM7 or any other AOSP roms as stated in the devs market description . After that update your PRL for stronger signal and maybe even 3g. Also keep in mind that since Google's rampage against free mp3 downloaders theres alot of them that don't work anymore

I recommend trying Mediafire Pro and see if that works. Of course for the full element of testing try wifi if you've got access to it

Yea i read the dev description on Lte app, and figured it couldnt hurt to try since all 3g data coverage in my area was useless. I know it said it wouldnt work with any cm builds, but it blocks evdo, and lets me use 1x data only. Without it i cant use phones data at all. Theres no wifi connection currently at my home, but ill try mediafire for the music, thanks.

Thanks zedge works great, also in the mp3 downloading problem is only in my immediate area, i traveled accross town and used a couple apps and all worked as expected.

Thanks tweeksrevenge or our input, as least i can use somthing other then polly tones.

For me any overclocking, even the smallest amount, whether it be with the in menu settings or SetCPU makes the screen wig out after a while. This happens to me with any of the 3 CyanogenMod 7 roms.

All 2.2 based roms work fine overclocked on my phone.

Well I tried that and it seemed to hold up well for a while then all of a sudden it started glitching again. Think I may be headed back to RomZero since my phone seems to hate all Cyanogenmod roms. Noticed today that bluetooth didn't seem to work either.

Good afternoon, Ive been having problems with metro off patch. Im not able to send any pictures out they just hang on sending without ever going out. Ive been able to recieve some mms's but not all, some just wont download! when I first flash to this rom mms ran pretty smooth, any help would be appreciated.

hey andy when u say glitchy...is it a distorted colored glitch,...cause ive in-countered all kind of glitches...

I spent the day yesterday reading this thread and I am feeling confident about giving this a go.

My question is that I have seen a bunch of mentions that the SD card needs to be partitioned. I do not see this step in the wiki. Is it necessary and if it is could you please include n00b proof steps.

I have an 8gb class 4 SD card

I am a first time flasher. I have only rooted and changed my PRL from 3019 to 3024.
