Just bought a SGSII! Stupid move?

After debating which phone to go for, I decided on the SGSII. I went to the ATT store yesterday to check out the Vivid and Skyrocket.

The Vivid looks really nice but it feels way too clunky. Big and heavy as I'm already used to Samsung's lightweight and thin phones from my Captivate. That and I don't think I'm too much of a Sense fan. But the phone does look great. $99 is an amazing price too.

The Skyrocket looks quite nice but is also big. My main reason for steering away from this (even though NYC should be receiving LTE 'soon') is the dev community. I know how Samsung and ATT handle updates. As such, the i777 can easily get updates much quicker by grabbing the source for the international SGSII much like the Captivate and Galaxy S. It looks like the Skyrocket has no such luck due to differing hardware.

I am a little bummed that I can't have LTE, the higher resolution in the Vivid and the Dev community that is a associated with the SGSII but I guess the SGSII is still a great decision.

Getting it for $99 (and hopefully a $100 gift card as a reward) doesn't hurt either. But unsure if I made the right decision.

GS2 is probably at&T's best phone. Well....I would go off and say it is. From what I'm reading the skyrocket's screen doesn't look all that great due to its size and same resolution as the GS2(correct me if I'm wrong). I wont get a chance to see it in person until later this week.

At&T's other dual phones are nice but have smaller processors (1ghz: Thrill & Atrix 2)

i went from an iphone 3gs to a skyrocket and can't complain about the screen one bit. I'm sure if i compared it side by side to the iphone 4s, i'll see the flaws in this phone... but still, coming from an iphone (even though its an older one), i have no complaints about the screen at all. Also the real estate means a lot to me even if its a lower res.
