This pic makes it look like there are pixelation problems similar to those that the DX2. Anyone have any first-hand experience to the contrary?

I wouldn't judge it by that picture. IMO the RAZR's display is very, very good. Side by side with the Bionic and the DX2, the RAZR has deeper blacks and more vibrant colors. Pixels are much less noticeable especially in the signal strength lines and the battery meter. The Bionic/DX2 are however much brighter and whites look much more white, whereas the RAZR's whites are a bit greyish.

I'm just talking about the pixelation.

This video seems to confirm it. It looks just like the DX2 (which I had).

Personally I couldn't stand it. It's like you are looking through a screen door all the time. There was also a problem with color gradiation. Not sure if we will see that here too.

Potential shoppers be warned. Make sure to check it out in person and see if you are ok with it.

If you're able to notice pentile right away and really don't like the pixel layout then you won't like the razr's screen. This is coming from a first hand experience. I've already expressed my opinion here but it seems that most people are too excited for the phone to read/accept anything negative. It looks better than any pentile I've seen but it still bothers me enough to deter my interest in this phone.

I can hardly see it on my Bionic, so with a Super Amoled it should be even less noticible to me....

But that's just my opinion.

I concur this is EXACTLY my findings as well. One difference though. I can't even see them on the battery at all.

I could live with the petile effect if the display was brighter overall. But being samoled, it apparently is not bright. Deep contrast and color, yes, but dim and grey whites FOR ME ruins the display. I will say I have NOT seen one in person yet, but from all accounts it does have the greyish tinge that all amoleds have. This is a deal killer for me, so I will likely go with the Rezoud, which preliminary info says to have possibly the best overall screen of any device period. Basically a 4.3 retina level display. Anyway, I'm not trying to crap on the RAZR I will still give it the hands on look it deserves once I make it to a VZ store in person. Maybe it will surprise me.

It basically comes down to what you want. YES THERE IS PIXELATION. I lose it past 8" from my face. It is tons better than my bolt. The screen is the only low point of this phone to me as pixelation drives me nuts, but then again I can't see it after 8" the rezound and the gnex will have a better screen, but to me, that is all I like better from them. The razr. Has more positives for ME. Btw, the sgs2 screen is like looking at a waterfall made of sunsets and unicorn (censored)
The major question is what is the best for you? Wait til they're all out and check them out in the stores. Good luck
