This is becoming quite frustrating, I wonder if anyone can help. I've been a Shapewriter user on my last phone (HTC Hero) and I am determined to get Swype working for me on my new Galaxy S2...
In the Email app (please don't suggest Gmail or K9 or whatever - I want to try using the Social Hub for everything, at least for now, and it uses 'Email' for email) if Swype's 'Word Suggestion' option is enabled, it's impossible to delete words - when I press backspace the text field gets auto-filled with a copy of the word I'm deleting (presumably this is the 'suggestion'), this can get really messy really quickly and requires me to use clipboard cut to get rid of the resultant compound 'word'.
If I disable 'Word Suggestion' this very nearly fixes everything, but it does create a new (small but irritating) problem: Auto-spacing and auto-capitalisation no longer work after full stops (periods). Auto-spacing still works after commas, but not after full stops, and auto-capitalisation only works if I manually insert a space after a full stop.
Has anyone come across these problems before and found a solution?
