On Thursday at 2PM we're hosting a LIVE Droid RAZR Q&A with Verizon Wireless. Feel free to post your questions below or on the Phandroid article. You can always submit your questions at the live event as well:
You Ask: Droid RAZR Questions? Ask Verizon! [LIVE EVENT]

    Looking forward to it!

Awesome- I won't be able to make the event but I've got a couple Q's (I'll post on the event too):

    1) Does the Razr support USB Host Mode? Based on the the snazzy HD Dock with USB ports, it must at least support mice and keyboards in some kind of host mode. My real question is can it do this with removable media; can I get an USB micro adapter and plug a flash stick into it?

    2) Will Smart Apps and MotoCast be fully integrated into ICS?

    Several questions:

    1. Another blog site (Engadget) has supposedly disassembled a Droid Razr and determined that there is a presumably unused NFC chip in the Droid Razr. Will this chip be activated at some later date (ie., following the upgrade to ICS)?

    2. Has a Verizon Wireless identified a target date when they would like to see the release of ICS for the Droid Razr? If so what is the target date?

    3. There are reports of significant heat dissipating from the screens of demo Droid Razr's at many Verizon Wireless stores. Has this issue been reported to Motorola for review and testing?

    4. Due to the form factor of the Droid Razr, the battery compartment was sealed. Since no extended or replacement battery is available for the Droid Razr, have specifications been published to assist customers in determining what external battery packs would be most compatible for use with the Droid Razr? If so what are these specifications?

    5. It has been announced that the MotoActv accessory will be available through Verizon Wireless but not typically stocked in Verizon Wireless stores. Is this due to a temporary logistics issue? Or will ordering the MotoActv be the primary means for customers to acquire the device?

    6. Will a MotoActv app be available for other Motorola smartphones sold by Verizon Wireless?

    1. The Engadget teardown also revealed a gyroscope as well as barometric and temperature sensors; which of those are active and usable in the now released RAZR, and which are supposed to be activated at a later point (such as with the ICS update) ?

    2. What are the exact differences between the Droid RAZR and the international RAZR ? I've seen a slightly larger battery (1800mAh) mentioned in one place; is that true ? Is there anything else different hardware-wise apart from the radio components ?

Some of the reviews (such as phonescoop; and a couple of others) are reporting lack luster reception and even dropped calls. Would be good to know if this is a firmware issue or result of making the phone thin. It might be a bit loaded if mentioned directly but perhaps indirectly ?
    -
Also would be interested to know if other usa carriers will obtain this phone (if not in name then in style) this year.
    -
Also would be good to know abuot the battery technology; will it improve over time (i.e, does it require a break in period); will it rapidly degrade over the two year life of the phone; can it be replaced if so how (verizon? motorolla? cost?)

Interesting Q&A with Verizon (yawn)...there was only one question on there worth noting--locked bootloader. I didn't like Verizon's side-stepping answer to the question:

"Right now we are focused on the user experience. Android offers an open platform, with over 300k apps, many free, and constantly updating the O/S. The devices offer lots of room for modifications."

Verizon's should join the other presidential candidates at the debates with this ability...

And Rob, what is up? You only asked one hard question and everything else seemed tailored to Verizon. Did they mandate a template of questions you could ask from your users?

Come on guys how about being grateful they even did it.

In all fairness to those that are a little frustrated with the way the chat went down, they didn't really answer anything we didn't already know.

All they really spoke of was phone specs, every other "Major" question was sort of side-stepped and not answered by VZW.

I was only there for about 35 minutes, I couldn't take more than that as the conversation was pretty boring.

Nice effort by the Phandroid team, but I'm sure VZW was in charge of what could and couldn't be asked, and what would and wouldn't be answered, oh well.

I get that I really do but it was a nice gesture on Verizon's part to do it and it was very gracious of phandroid to host it for everyone. I don't want to start problems with anyone but its like a bratty kid who gets a Christmas gift and complains its not what they wanted. Just appreciate it for crying out loud.

It's very likely that the person from Verizon was from their Public Relations department. The answers that were provided to most of the questions asked sounded just like what one would expect from a PR person. Had this person been technical then maybe we would have seen more detailed answers (on the other hand Verizon isn't well known for detailed answers).

Under the circumstances, however, I think the event went very well... and it's a feather in Phandroid's cap that Rob and the team were able to make this happen!

WHere is the transcript? I can't seem to locate it?
