I would get the razr cause I had a razr right before switching to android, BUT the non removable battery is what holds me back. After owning a tbolt, that's a very scary thing not to be able to remove battery. LOL So my next option is nexus. BUT I do not like the NFC for security reasons, or the lack of an sd card slot. The positive side though is it's a google phone so no more waiting and hoping for updates. Plus I kinda like vanilla. I mean don't get me wrong sense ui is the best imo but its ui's like this that delay updates and i'm sick of it. And its pure ICS which imo looks awesome. Might take a little getting used to though. What I wanna know is since theres no menu button, how do u get options for apps without the button? Another thing that concerns me is that I've seen the previous nexus and honestly I thought it was a fake toy phone till I saw my friend actually doing stuff on it and was like  I seriously hope the new nexus is durable and not all plasticy fake looking. I need a durable phone cause I drop all my phones 10000 times and i hate using cases cause it doesn't easily slide in and out of the pocket. And it ruins the look of the phone. It's like having a car and putting that full bumper bra on it just ruins the look and hides its natural beauty. I have to say the tbolt is the most durable phone I've ever owned. Normally I have to replace every 6 months cause I break them. I've had tbolt for 7 months now woot lol. It's a little rough around the edges but other then that its fine. I switched to Verizon in aprilsh so I won't have an upgrade, so I'll have to buy outright. Maybe I can convince parents to get me it for Christmas hehehe idk if it would work tho but wouldn't hurt to ask! :D:cool:

oh and of course battery life... but i cant seem to find info for either phone on that so i guess we'll have to wait for that answer.

Played with the Razr today. Not enough there to make me change from my bolt, really. yeah, it's snappy, yeah, the FFC takes ok pictures. But there's nothing it can do that my Bolt already doesn't, that I need it to. So..the wait continues for me. :)

You should try playing a youtube video side by side with the Razr. Who knows maybe my TB is just flaky because I have been having screen issues, but the Razr just seemed more vibrant than the TB when I compared the same videos on Youtube side-by-side. I think it was the 720p Star Trek trailer that I was watching. Too bad I'm not a "trekie" because it looked like a decent flick.

How 'bout live in your shirt pocket without dragging the pocket down to your belt! Razr.. here I come.

I think there is some sort of reset button on the back of the phone that you will be able to press and force a reset.

i mean in terms of using an extended battery. also all this talk about quad core, the rezound is 1.5ghz that's not quad is it? what phone is quad core? is there even really need for quad core on a phone? seems dual would be good enough. I mean its not a computer your not playing full computer games where you'd need a real fast system i don't see the point in a quad core phone.

They are making more and more external batteries for cell phones that plug into the micro usb spot, I would think moto is banking on those and the success of iPhone while not having a removable battery.

There are no quad core phones yet, the rezound will be dual core. I think HTC has announced one but I am not going to look for the news article right now (sorry I am being lazy ;)) There has been at least 1 game announced that will utilize quad core, it is the next logical step and if you were to get the first quadcore phone on it's release likely by the time you are eligible for an upgrade again you would have been using it for it's intended purpose for a while. Until the hardware is available the most devs will not make the software so once the phones and tablets start coming out there will be more and more quad core only apps/games coming out as well, just look at the tegra 2 when it first became available.

I remember when people said that they wouldn't need 4 cores on a computer...I even remember when I bought a computer with 16 MB and my friends telling me that I don't need that much space, I remember my first MP3 player that had an 8 MB card and thinking how great it was to fit in a couple of songs on such a "small" device. You say there's no need, but in a few years you'll look back and wonder how we survived with "just" 2 cores.

Keeping the TB until it REALLY becomes obsolete (as in incapable of running the latest android smoothly, unable to run the games I want even with chain-fire ect).

The dual core phones are just not faster enough (or should I say the TB not slow enough) for me to desire something new if I can get ICS on the bolt...officially or not. The newer screen resolutions, 1080p video arent impressing me and if I get the latest dual core, HTC is already talking about the quad core Tegra 3 in an upcoming phone so I'll be in the same boat in a year.

This also may sound silly but I have gotten REALLY REALLY use to having the kick stand. I don't want a phone without one lol and none of the new ones have one.

hell yea on that one. all phones should have one! I've only seen it mentioned once i don't think many people know, but on the nexus if you hold down power and vol down with the phone on it will take a screen capture! without root! not a major feature but deff one that has been lacking!

I've always told myself that if a Nexus phone ever came to VZW I'd do anything to get. Now that is a reality, however I'm a poor-ass college student who's living pay check to pay check. If I can somehow scrape up the cash to get it outright or snag my Momma's upgrade(she can barely figure out her feature phone still) then I'll jump on it as soon as I can. If not, my rooted TB should hold me over for another 1.5 years..

Quick Rundown of the Three phones you mentioned and I actually was thinking of replacing my T-Bolt.

Razr
Light cool looking snappy camera in it that takes sharper pics then my Tbolt. Built in battery not so great and don't like the vast amount of Dead Space around the screen.

Don't like the feel of the Android system with only 5 pages and really love 7 pages and HTC Sense or I would have one of these in my hands now. Worst screen Resolution of the three

Galaxy Nexus
Whoa daddy a 4.5 inch screen A Better 1.2 gig dual core processor than the Razr, Sexy curved screen, Similar batter size to the Razr but removable. Should get Android updates faster than most and start with ICS.

No Micro SD Slot you get 16 or 32 Meg and you are shot. I would be moving my 32 gig card from the T-bolt with me so a Razr would net me 16 gig in phone and 32 for a total or 48 gig. I have lots of music.

HTC Rezound
Supposed to be BEST SCREEN EVER with a higher pixel density than the Iphone 4s even with it 4.3 inch screen. Built in beats sound accompanied by a pair of Ibeats in the box. the best of the dual core processors at 1.5 gig. a camera sporting 8meg in the rear with a 2.2 fstop which should help out in low light shooting. . 16 gig on board memory and an SD Slot with a 16 gig card for a total of 32 or 48 is you bring your SD Card from the T-bolt over.

the Smallest Battery of the bunch. at 1620MAH and you might just figure in the size and cost of an extended battery right now.

I am still thinking about the Rezound as it is the best phone with a small battery, which should remind you of the T-bolt.

Great looking

I'm going to buy a new phone before Christmas either the Rezound or the GNex but I'm really leaning towards the GNex .

I love my Thunderbolt my battery gets me through the day , it's fast , takes great pictures and I love the feel but I did the 1yr option on it and I have another upgrade available so I'm going to get the new phone and give my Thunderbolt to a family member who is waiting on the iPhone5 then Iwill just keep my Tbolt for a backup . My only real issue with my Tbolt and the reason I'm leaving it is my Data connection can be iffy , my screen is useless outdoors and my GPS isn't the most accurate

I'm gonna go check out the Rezound next week (possibly buy it, and if I like the Nexus better exchange it) Only draw back I see on the Nexus is the lack of SD card but honestly I have 18gigs of space left on my Thunderbolt 32gb card so I don't see it being an issue plus with built in memory it should load everything slightly faster then an SD card .

the best of the dual core processors at 1.5 gig.

The GNex actually has a better processor using the OMAP 4460. It's natively clocked at 1.5ghz, but underclocked in the GNex to 1.2ghz. Probably because ICS makes the extra power useless and extends battery life.

Jan 2013 is my next upgrade.

I'll admit the TBolt is my first phone on VZW since they converted from PrimeCo if anyone remembers that.. But as long as you sign a new a 2yr agreement can't you upgrade whenever at the contract price?

Don't think so, you are locked into your contract until 20 months then you can upgrade at the contract price, otherwise you have to pay full retail as you have not finished your commitment to the contract for the last discounted phone you received.

the battery is small in rezound cause its tb 2 lol. you know i was just thinking and figured out the whole lack of sd card issue for nex. its so simple. just connect tbolt to computer make a folder on desktop and copy all the contents of sd card into that folder. then when you get nex just connect nex and move all the content over. problem solved! i thought of that when i remembered seeing my friend connecting his vibrant last year and it showed two partitions. the first was for internal memory, and the second was like the "sd card"
