S2 or Nexus Prime?

Sorry, I was referring to the pattern lock, and how it can be bypassed easily. I personally don't care about it, but it's still crazy that AT&T is not fixing this because a lot of people do care...So, anything about ics is a pretty wild guess. For some reason, I'm wild guessing that by the time we get ics for our gs2, we'll soon be eligible for phone upgrades...

Well, if you're down to go with custom ROM's, you'll be getting ICS early next year. They're not going to take that long to release ICS on the international GS2 and the xda people are pretty quick with getting it from there. I mean, the Captivate (Galaxy S), for example, doesn't even have an official build of Gingerbread, yet most people have had it since like, April or something...

I'd go with the S2. Faster 3G/3.5G than Verizon's 3G (no 4G but that's got battery issues anway).

Gorilla Glass and Exynos on the S2 while the Nexus doesn't have Gorilla Glass and has an OMAP (both of which I know are still good but Exynos benchmarks higher and who knows who makes the 'reinforced glass' on the Nexus)

S2 will get ICS eventually (early 2012) so no need to fret about that.

Also the S2 has SuperAmoled Plus while the Nexus doesn't have the Plus (it's pentile I believe) but Nexus has a 720p rez.

All in all, both phones are awesome and I'm not sure which one I want. After I heard of that Sam's Club sale with the S2 being only $1 I might go with that.

....S2 is a good phone...the nexus looks better, although this was the kicker for me
black friday you can get the s2 for .99cents at samclub...vs 300$ nexus..... the other thing LTE isnt available in my area and verizon was like 50$ more a month(family plan with 2 lines)

i got me and my g/f phones at
S2 = 99$ each so 200$ + 110$(month*24)=2840$ over the term of the contract
(i get a 10% discount from work with AT&T)
vs
nexus = 300$ each so 600 + 160$(month*24) = 4440$ over the term of the contract

im a cheap bastard and 1600$ (800$) year is not worth a nexus imo, at that price i will buy it outright on at&t if/when it gets there if its really that good
