Phone arena review

don't know if i really buy it aside from camera. How can it be faster with slower processors and a slower clocking (same) gpu? Maybe it was a freak razr. There is always variance.

P3Droid

I must admit, I was extremly impressed with the Razr, it was the fastest device on the table, hands down. camera from locksreen was about a half second faster than the nexus, and it sped through everything you could hope for. It is a real serious device and means business.

The thing is that, if the RAZR is anything like the bionic, you are going to lose WAY more than that half of a second when you actually try to take the picture. The bionic took over a second to snap... that is the main reason I took it back.

He's been bouncing back and forth on Nexus several times. So I hardly buy anything from him until it's out. And Razr seems to put out quite bit of heat through screen.

He's a Moto fanboy at heart, he's just pissed at Moto right now for the Locked/encrypted bootloader issue......so he is trying to rebel, "trying" being the operative word here ;)

P.S. I really don't put too much stock into what he says anymore, I suggest you all do the same and try the phones out for yourselves.

Right, he likes to be the center of attention. I am also sure he has a pre production model that may or may not have the newest software build on it.

The camera on the RAZR does snap and focus fast. One could possibly do those rapid shots themselves I see some camera do, it might work.

I am interested in the Nexus, not regretting or unsatisfied with my RAZR, but I just really like what I see from the Nexus too. And I'm really liking ICS and might want my hands on it like yesterday...lol

I might lose my mind and get it too and do some real comparisons with the RAZR. Might as well get the Rezound while I'm at it...lol

I played with a Razr last night for about an hour, and though it's a nice phone and pretty fast, I don't like the diamond cut corners and the distance from the screen to the bezel it's too big making the phone look like it's too wide; the thinness of the phone also contributes to the phone feeling wider than it should.....my DX feels better in my hand than the Razr does, and my X has a TPU case on it. I guess you could get used to the feel of the Razr after a while, I just wouldn't be able to get used to the look if it.

Though it's able to take pictures pretty quickly, a lot of those quick pics we're not that clear, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the pics, but the speed of the camera was nice.

The phone does get warm, but I don't think it reaches "uncomfortable" warm as the claims circulating the net have been claiming.

Overall I would rate this phone a 7.5 out of 10, if they would get rid of Blur I would give it an 8.5.

The thinness of the phone doesn't really contribute any usefulness, so I won't give it too much credit for that (if it wasn't for the thinness I would probably give it a 7 out of 10).

The Razr is a nice phone, just not for me.

We all have our own opinions, I get that, and if you don't agree with me, that's fine, I get that too, and accept it with no issues.

I'm just not as impressed with the Razr as some people seem to be; it may turn out that the GNex doesn't impress me much either, but as long as I like it better than the Razr I will be fine with that (from what I've seen so far, I think I will like the GNex better) ;)

I agree to a degree...

But I think the Razr is a really cool looking device. Probably the coolest to hit the world of Android!

But your concerns and opinions are yours, and most of us have ours.

I really like my Droid Razr...even with some of its Short comings.

But I have to admit, I don't know how long my love for it will last once I go play with the Rezound tomorrow...And of course once word hits that the GNex is available.

Im a phone whore man...what can I say....

I don't understand the logic of this statement. The RAZR looks almost exactly like my DX. All it is is an updated version of the DX/DX2. If it had been the same thinness from top to bottom, then you might have something there. But it still has the same hump up top where the camera is and the same OS, just like the DX/DX2. It's nothing new or special, in my opinion.

To each their own. Time for a change from the DX/RAZR style of phone, or any phone with bloatware and 3rd-party UI like "Sense" or "Blur". It's time for a vanilla Android experience. I'll be picking up my Nexus very soon (I hope).
