Root I wish to root my phone

But I have some quick questions before I do this.

First off, is gingerbreak the fastest easiest way to do it? I can't use superoneclick as I cannot download anything onto my computer currently.

Before I even root it, is it possible to unroot the phone after using the above method to root.

And how do I backup my default stock ROM.

Thanks!

Hi there; I'm a newbie and have received much help from the knowledgable people in this forum. I just wanted to say that I rooted my phone using the "without computer" gingerbreak method posted on this forum, and it wasn't too difficult...and I am very happy with the rooted phone. You will end up with a backup of your phone in the last step of the root when you apply the recovery. The people on this forum are very helpful; just follow the tutorials and ask if you get stuck... But be very careful not to brick your phone...the warnings abound, thankfully.

I do remember reading that you can unroot your phone...if you search this forum, I'm sure you'll find threads on it. I just did a quick google search "unroot android phone" and it gives a bunch of sites and even youtube video on how to do it.

Hope that helps!
