HTC Thunderbolt, meet the Rezound 1620mAh

link? I've tried searching newegg for rezound battery, htc battery, htc vigor battery etc and can't find it.

The VZ Stores have a promo, $20 off 4G phone batteries. It should cost $19.99. Here is the link for newegg.com -> Newegg.com - HTC Standard Battery for HTC Thundrbolt 2 35H00168-02M

Try the battery calibration app on the market. The battery readings were all messed up when I did this on my first charge. Now all is normal.

I have already cleared the battery stats. That's all a 'calibration app' does.

Can anyone tell a difference in battery life with the rezound battery over the stock thunderbolt battery. I am considering getting one if there is noticable improvement. I am currently using the extended 2750 mah battery but would be nice to get rid of the extra weight from the extended battery. Plus if my employer discount stacks with the 20 price it might just be worth buying it.

I also would like to know. I am a heavy 4G user, so you can imagine how quickly my battery drains...

Instead of having to charge the last two hours of my work day I'm able to make it home in time to throw it on the charger. It's noticeable but not fantastic...still it's better. As I've used it through the week I feel that I've gotten a better feeling of how it performs. I'd say an extra 15% over the stock battery is a good call.
I'd normally get 8-10 hours through the day and now I can go 10 - 12. I'm in 4g, no wifi, and I'm constantly checking the phone during the day. I'm not doing heavy amounts of calls or youtube.
It's just a sad fact that battery life is going to be an issue on these 4g devices. Personally I'd be ok with the 2750 as a daily driver if it the battery cover was designed better.

I have been unplugged for 16 hours and am at 67%. The Resound battery is great!! The best $20 I've spent on this phone!

In stock now on vzw.com. $19.99 (comes up at that price in cart). Act fast!

Arrrg! I paid 29.99 at my local Verizon store last week for it, and that was with my 25% corporate discount...guess I should have until it appeared online...

Definitely seeing a difference with this battery...also have been noticing how long it stays at "full" before starting to go down each morning as I use it...and of course the level goes down slower now than the stock battery...definitely worth the 29.99 I paid!

I got it for around $21 after tax at a local VZW store. The guy behind the counter mentioned something about how since it was a battery for a 4G phone, it was 50% off.

I'm definitely liking this battery. It takes me about 8 hours under 4G (and wifi on but not connected) to drop down to ~55% which brings it to about 16-17 hours of life for my usage. Compared to the stock Tbolt battery, I remember it only taking about 4-6 hours for it to drop to 50% so yeah, this battery is what this phone should have come with.

I went into a vzw store and told them "my friend" said he got it for $19.99 earlier today. After some checkign he said all 4G batteries were on sale and gave it to me for it. I usually get a discount due to my wife's employer but he said he couldn't do both so naturally went with the $20.

Said if doesn't work, I have 15 days to return it too!

I'm on VZW Website and I don't see the red battery for the Rezound...is it because I'm logged in and they're only gong to show TB batteries?

11-20-2011:
This afternoon I called Tech Support and ordered the Rezound battery. With the 25% Accessory Discount, it came to $21 and some change. I'm having it delivered to my job...will post my experiences with it.

So how do you handle the extra battery? Do you leave it charging all the time until you need it or charge it then pull it off until needed? Does it lose lcharge if not being used?
Take it off when it's fully charged. It will not lose anything initially, but may drop a percent or two after it's old. Takes a long time to do that.

Free Rezound Battery

So I noticed in the past few days that my launch-day battery has been performing very poorly. Brought it into the local corporate store for a warranty replacement. I had not noticed it, but the lady in the store said that it was bulging a little bit so they would replace it without the need for a test call drain down. They didn't have any ThunderBolt batteries in stock so she said they would send me one. But I asked if she could give me a Rezound battery instead. She did't know they were the same size so she wanted to test it first to make sure it fit and that the phone turned on, which of course it did. So she happily gave me a new Rezound battery to replace my ThunderBolt battery. That's one of the reasos why I like doing business with Verizon. I only paid $10 for that battery (-25%, -$19.99 after they started sellig them to others for 50% off) and I had probably damaged the battery by draining it down too far too many times, but Verizon values its long-term relationships so they bend over backwards to keep reasonable customers happy.

I'm always glad to see VZW do something for a loyal customer. Sounds like you got away with a good deal! My battery has been hurting recently so I am tempted to take advantage of this sale myself
