***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Partial frustration with the long wait, I've been waiting for a Galaxy S2 since September. I was using a 5 year old flip phone that's impossible to text on. I have been through these "release" situations with Verizon 2 other times Samsung Omni 2 and the Incredible and Verizon took their sweet time and left us in the dark then too.

I ALSO was waiting for a SGS2 before this phone. I've been eligible for an upgrade since August!

She could care less about it and she knows that i care too much about it. Last year was the same story with the Nexus S but i didn't want to switch to T-Mobile so she got Google TV instead. haha. But you are right, she is already planning to spend NYE without me. Going on some all-girls hike to the grand canyon.

So your going to swipe your girlfriends holiday bonus? :p

Don't be surprised is she's celebrating New Years Eve with someone else.

I was on the Dinc pre-release thread too......and this thread has the same carnage that the Dinc thread had........

But.........I........can't.........look.........away.......

I can...which is why i still have my job and my sanity!;)

Was on the original DINC threads and this thread is sooo similiar! I've learned my lesson from that one and have learned to be patient and not break my finger hitting f5.

Razr and Rezound are both nice and if GN wasn't coming, i'd probably scoop up the rezound, but good things comes to those who wait. Kudos to all of you for making this thread such a beast in its own right.

So yesterday I was walking by this group of people and one said "thats 4g, so its really fast, right?" to which someone replied "yep, but apparently the iphone gets faster 4g speeds, at least on verizon"
Also heard "yea, they say that android thing is more popular, but popular doesn't mean better, which is why I have an iphone"
and only you people understand my frustration
I told the story here of the guy arguing with the Verizon employee telling him how the iP4 was 4G, because Apple called it a 4. They wouldn't name it the 4 if it wasn't 4G, etc.

Felt bad for the CSR rep.

Well then get the Nexus for yourself, and when she gets the phone, swap them out.

Selfish, maybe. But I couldn't sit there and watch someone else play with my new toy.

Anyone else feel like we should start up a Google+ circle for the people on this thread? I know we already have this forum and twitter, but why not G+ too (I don't use twitter, and we could reserve the G+ circle for important updates and keep it on topic).

Lead the way good sir

Guys, guys, let's calm down. Verizon just wants what's best for us.

It will come when it comes.

Let's not rush the chick in cracking its shell.

It will come when it comes.

:)

Wow! I go away for a couple of hours and look down the beach and see Han sitting there. Very Zen.

Personally, while I think it would be really cool to be a part of the #1 thread here, I am way more concerned with getting this phone, or at least a solid confirmed date of release from VZW. At this point, if they said it will be January 2, 2012, I would at least feel at ease knowing the date it would be here. I would obviously prefer tomorrow for it to release, but I just have to know. It's killing me and my work production.

I must confess that the thoughts of a Razr have crossed my mind due to the fact that my Droid has survived countless drops from horseback, being kicked across concrete on several occasions, being packed with hay and other adverse conditions related to the "horse way of life".

I sure hope Samsung can build a device that will hold up the abuse I can put a phone through.

I don't know if the GNex will take as much abuse as the OG Droid. The OG Droid is a tank
