Battery Life

My screen use is always over 70%, even with the brightness at 1/4. Battery life is excellent though.

I just wish that the actual battery symbol in the notification bar rendered more accurately. Looking at your screen shot, I would have guessed it still had nearly 80% battery life left.

My SGS2 barely makes it .75 to .95 of a day with a full recharge with 2-3 hours of use (book reading, wifi, sms, and a bit of gaming). God I wish battery tech would improve so we can have at least 3,4 days of friggin batter life with current gen phones (sgs2) and normal use.

on average i can get 2 days easy with moderate use. few calls and bit of browsing, but so i dont run dry i charge daily anyway. best use for using it JUST like a phone.....6 days

I have the 2000mah battery and i only charge every 3 days. Thats with about 6 hours of display time over those 3 days. On stock battery i was getting the same diplay time with 2 days.

People, if your battery isnt lasting this long, then bring your phone back to where you bought it and get a new battery. Of course unless something is draining your battery. The battery life on these phones is way more than sufficient. This coming from a Desire HD with perfect battery lasting 1 day and 3-4 hours of display at max.

I'm quite pleased with the battery life. The other day (having the day off) I decided to put it to the test and use the phone like in a typical day (maybe a bit more movie watching/streaming) while keeping track of what I did.

well I started at 99% as the phone had been off charging for 2 h 10 m.

I surfed for about 10 mins with music playing in the background (winamp)
installed a games from market (bejeweled 2) which I then played for about 11 minutes.
I then downloaded and installed Skype, called wife for about 10 mins a buddy for another 10.
Wached a movie for 1h39m (Paul)

Checked my mails for about 10 mins (again with music in the background)
about 10 minutes of Youtube and then streamed a series from Voddler ca. 59m (an episode of the Saint)

Played Dragon Fly! installed some more apps and trying them out for some time with music playing, listened to some podcasts (around here I had kinda forgotten that I was supposed to keep track and In between this I did some texting and placed/received 41 minutes of calls.) and then I checked my Facebook for about 15m. Surfed for about another 10 mins.

Watched about an hour of the green lantern cartoon and got my first beep from battery allert...

Battery usage saying:

9 hours and 30 minutes from taking off the charge. (ca. 7h and 20 minutes not counting the initial 2h10m)

As I was gonna go out later I charged it. It was then at 13%

I usually get well over 16-18 hours on my daily, fair use... calls, texts, mails, games, music, surfing etc.

I usually charge it when there is between 13% to 20% left on the battery.

I guess what really eats the battery on this (and other smartphones) is the screen. Luckily on the Galaxy S2 it is so vibrant that you can keep it on low brightness and still feel it is great looking. (I keep mine on about 12 - 16%)
