Help Please help! I take a photo - phone turns off!

Hi everyone,

Im new on here and recently bought an HTC Wildfire S. Well so far so good except for one thing which is driving me mad. When i take a photo 90% of the time i press the button to take the photo and the phone turns off. I have to plug it into the charger to get it to turn back on AND the photo isnt even there!! (ARGH)!

Any suggestions on what I should do to remedy this please otherwise i will be sending it back and asking for a replacement lol.

Thanks in advance

Kris xx

Hi Kristina, you can try clearing the data associated with the camera app.

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Camera -> Clear Cache/Data. If that doesn't work, you could try an alternative camera app (Camera 360 is a good alternative and it's free).

If both fail, then it sounds like you'll need to return the phone unfortunately.

Hiya thanks for the reply. Have tried both your suggestions. Clearing the data etc worked for one photo and as soon as i took a second one, off it went again. And i cant seem to download the camera 360 app - keeps saying there was a problem with it. Will go back to the shop i bought it from i think :) many thanks xx
