Help 1.9 GB of Data in a month?!

Get 3G watchdog pro to see which app is eating into the data. Second, set the AP news data and weather widget to sync in a more reasonable time, say every 12 hours or 24 hours.

Third, try off the data when you play games. I was playing Zenonia 3 with 3G on and it ate up 25MB in 20minutes of playing. The games works without 3G on either. This might occur for other games.

Video streaming like you tube takes up a lot of data too.

Cheers

Its fine to have it on the homescreen looking pretty. Its really when it syncs that uses data. You can set it for example to 3 hours for syncing or none, where its manually. Each time it syncs, it doesn't really takes up much data. From 3G Watchdog, its less than 100kb each time.

But if it keeps syncing for data every couple of hours, it would build up. I set it to manual update currently.

Problem seems to be solved now. I completely disabled the news and weather from updating at all...and the 3G watchdog has been keeping me in check for how much I've been using.

I spoke to some really nice people at Orange, eventually, and they understood that it was a problem with the phone and that they should have mentioned that that app would suck up a lot of the data so out of a goodwill gesture, they waived the bills for the extra downloads. Phew!
