Samsung Galaxy Note IS Available in U.S!

Sorry to hear that. I've RMA'd (3) motherboards and a processor without issue with newrgg. I particularly the free 3-day shipping that comes "next day", when shipped from the Jersey warehouse.

Well after I had complained to another associate they actually corrected the problem for me, but the 1st 2 people I talked to gave me crap. So it may have been a new associate or something. I was pissed, so anyways they did work it out for me, afterwards, so it was just that one incident that ruined it 4 me so I don't terribly hate them. I still think their a great company.:)

The screen is great.

I think Samsung has the best display out of anyone right now.

Yea, OLED screens are the best in the world right now, but their expensive. Luckily for us samsung developed their own version of it called Super AMOLED. Their version is simply easier to make and more power efficient, so its cheap enough for us to buy and great for mobile devices that love to suck up energy. It is much clearer, more crisp, and has the most readable text of any screen I have ever seen( you can read websites on the note without even zooming in at all). Also it has something like 6 million to 1 contrast compared to the iphones IPS LCD which is only like 20 thousand to 1. So yes, it looks AMAZING.

You can purchase an unlocked Note right now for only $600 from Handtec, google it.

NOTE: it may be worth waiting for the US version as it comes with NFC and the international one does not. Also.. unfortunately the phone does not have a notification light and I don't know if the US version will either.(id get it anyway tho.. there's always noLED(search it on the market))

Hope this helps.

What are you laughing about? OK so the price went up to $762 still not bad compared to $900+!

"As shown here"

Why are you scared of links? It's a freakin' website!

Also just because it's available for purchase doesn't mean I said there were carriers already supporting it. IT"S JUST AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE! Geez...

I didn't mean to be rude or disrespectful, it was just funny to me cause it's still a large amount of money that's all. If I had that amount of money I would already have this product for sure.

I'm not scared of links, but I was surprised that someone had made a site with the url samsunggalaxynotewhatever, which made me not want to click it from a work computer having no idea what the site was, that's all. :)

No problem, I wasn't mad either just didn't understand at the time. No BIG deal. Yeah I know what you mean, JUST 7 hundred some dollars for a phone. But for some people that is cheap!

For others well not so easy to through almost a grand into a phone right now, but depending on what you need a galaxy note for, $700 might sound pretty cheap!

But it's still going down in price EVEN though it's selling like crazy and people are LOVING IT!!

Now it's down to $670 thru Amazon.com

Okay. I can wait a while to see if AT&T will get this phone. Right now, I'm confused as the sellers on the net say they have 3g versions available for AT&T's network. For about $690. That doesn't sound overpriced for an unlocked phone. But certainly I would love to put my hands on it. But this worries me as the FCC just had the 3g radios version this week so how could these people have the AT&T 3g version for sale already?

And some are selling blue (which is maybe the 3g version) and some are selling black and is there a difference?

I have an Evo 4G. With an extended battery, it weighs 200 grams, so it weighs more than the Note. And the note won't be that much wider.

But 3g. Am I going to hate only getting 3g speeds when I could go to Verizon and get lite on a Nexus? But a Nexus is not a note.

What is being sold is NOT an At&t phone, but a phone available in Europe or Asia that happens to share the same or similar bands. All phones around the world use a limited number of bands and you can buy a phone that is on the same bands that will work on different providers around the world.

BUT, the device must be unlocked or it will only work on the carrier it was sold for.

I am waiting for a 4G version or will stay with my Dell Streak for now.

But the fcc version just thru is 3g only. You are hoping they will redo the phone and release with 4g. That would be nice but AT&T doesn't have 4g in my area anyway. I think I will go buy an AT&T phone and bring it home and see what kind of reception and upload/download speeds I get with 3g. Then I will know if I want this Note, forever tethered to AT&T.

Anyway, just came from AT&T and they don't have 4g. They have hspa+ and LTE though where is a mystery to me. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S II, brought it home, I can talk everywhere in the house. The upload and download speeds are atrocious on it, as well as on my husband's Verizon phone. But when we connect to the house wireless, they are zipping fast. So the question is, is AT&T going to release the Note stateside with its "soon to be faster" net? Who knows.
