Ok I went over to the HTC forum and asked them Eo or Esteem, now I need all of your input: SHOULD I GET THE ESTTEM? Im already w/ metro and I have had my eye on this phone since pictures leaked of it. I have kinda grew tired of metro's unreliable and somewhat slow network, not to mention sometimes when people call it goes straight to voicemail w/o ringing. Is the esteem a whole new metro experience or just something cool for now?

btw I want to buy the phone in the next few days.

Would you be flashing the evo to metro?

no i'd be switching to sprint.

Well here's the deal, sprint does offer unlimited data which is nice, if you have 4g coverage in your area, if you do not, do NOT expect to receive 4g coverage there ever. Wimax expansion is dead but the towers will probably continue running for another 4 years. Although sprint does have 3g :D it all really comes down to the monthly price, ifnyou plan on getting sprint at least get a better phone ;)

WiMAX does not transmit through walls and is slow. It is not a 4G technology, it is 3.5G. One of my friends has the EVO and does not get a WiMAX signal indoors ever. As for calls on Metro going straight to voicemail, I have not had this happen once. Also, when Metro turns on their LTE Advanced network you will be able to have voice and data service at the same time (i.e. be on the phone while using the internet). Sprint will not have a live LTE network for 2-3 more years and their WiMAX speeds are about the same as Metro's LTE speeds..
