My local Verizon store has a huge shippment of cases for the nexus in the back of the store. They said the cases have cool graphics on the back and compared to the basic normal ones they have for other phones. So do you all think u would chose cases like this for your nexus.

Ever since I went naked on my TB last summer, I don't know that I can go back to a case. I've been known to change my mind though. :)

IMO not having a case or "skin" for your phone is like being in Hawaii without sunscreen for eight hours. You might survive, but it can be a painful experience. :)

I bought one of the TPU cases that somebody threw the link up for earlier. Cheaper than they are typically at Verizon. Maybe I'll check out the Verizon cases when I pick up my GNex in store. Cases with graphics would be a change. I thought Verizon just carried the standard silicone cases. Hmm...

From a review by someone today at the Verge:

The camera isn't awesome. This isn't one of those phones that can replace your point and shoot. Funny thing is, the GSII makes a great camera, so I'm starting to think that Google is specifically asking for low-spec cams on the Nexus models for some reason (you might remember that the Nexus S had a sub-par camera, too). Color balance is weird, shots are hazy and compressed, and I was just generally underwhelmed. Here's the bright spot: the shutter lag is utterly nonexistent. It's so nonexistent, in fact, that I thought something was wrong after I took the first couple pictures. Autofocus is lightning quick, too. I know that Apple really talked up camera speed with the 4S, but the Nexus runs circles around it — I'm assuming that's partly Android 4.0's doing, but I'd imagine the hardware has some role in that as well.

Galaxy Nexus: my quick take | The Verge Forums

This is starting to worry me a bit. It doesn't override the awesomeness of HD, no capacitive buttons, and ICS, but still. A bit troubling.

Ah never mind.

I just decided I don't care anymore.

Where's my frakking Nexus!!??

As far as the thanking scandal of the 2012 Nexus thread goes, I'm curious what everyone plans to buy when they cash in all of their 'thanks'?

The answer will help me to understand how 3vel has 'devalued' the thanks on this most epic of threads. (A thread which I think we all wish had died on November 3rd).

When I called it a Pyramid Scheme the last time I'd asked I got ignored. I thought maybe calling it a Ponzi Scheme would send the message this time.

Had I seen your post, I wouldn't have posted here. My apologies. However, I seriously doubt there will be much added to that thread now that it has been moved. I guess it pays to be an early adopter. No pun intended in reference to your name. :p

It pays to look at the whole forum - there are some great threads happening out there on the Nexus as we speak. :) ;)

Oh no. Now we're referring to this thread as the 2012 Nexus thread? This is getting bad.

As for Thanks-gate; I don't care anymore. His heart was in the right place. But some of us are proud of the contribution we give to the forums, and the "Thanks" are a reflection of that. If it gets diluted, we don't really know if we're doing a good job or if we suck.

But like I said, I'm cool with it. I think 3vil is an awesome dude and he had an idea that would cheer people up, and it worked.

Phonearena compared nexus camera to iphone4s with plenty of samples. The sharpness and details looks pretty close to me. The indoor white balance is different though it's hard to see which is more natural without looking at the real thing there.

At least @Verizonwireless is having fun, at our expense:

Yeah, they are ridiculous. The Droid 4, "THE DROID4." C'mon, they are trying too hard to get everyone to buy a Droid now. I have been contemplating jumping ship and importing a Nexus and going to Att but I want 32gb and LTE. If they push this Droid4 b4 the Nexus I am a goner!!

And I'm not hating on Moto cause that is pretty much all that I have had, from the OG to the X2. But enough is enough!!
