Maybe we are looking at this delay all wrong. I what if their exclusivity starts when the phone launches, not from announcement. So by holding the release, Verizon in a strange way is extending their exclusive rights to selling the phone. They hold it, but generate more buzz for the carrier and how it has the Nexus, and in their mind/theory, generate more new accounts by getting more customers on other carriers interested. Obviously the flaw is that phone needs like us are aware of it so it will backfire to some extent but to the general public, it might be working. I know I've noticed a lot of newbies coming into this thread/forum lately...
Just my new theory, FWIW.

I know, I said 11 days yesterday but I was off a day on my calendar. Happens sometimes. So my FINAL FINAL answer is 11 days to go, including today.
Off topic, Congratulations on nearing 50,000 posts! BUT: it took 35 hours to get from 47k to 48k posts, and 31 hours to get to 49k. We had better get some news fast if we're going to make this EPIC thread even more unbeatable... we're starting to slow down!

in order to see it on the best buy site, you have to click on the weekly ad then search the ad for nexus prime

Confirmed it pops up for Fairfax, VA among other areas. The flyer supposedly becomes valid today through the 31 of Dec. Well at least it comes out this year

Im not seeing the BB ad also in Indianapolis
Just click the link I put in here, and there it is. Even if you switch the location, it will just show stores nearest you, and if you select that store and search again for "Nexus", it will show up. I just tried about 10 areas, all working fine.

It didn't show up for me at first either. Open the weekly ad, search for cell phones, search for Samsung Nexus Prime. I sent a text to myself so I can show it to the CSR in the store.
