I currently have an iphone 4. I had an Droid Incredible, but when it got wet the iphone 4 was the phone my office gave me.
I am not a hard core techie. I think I represent more of the common man.
What I want in a phone:
- to be able to easily access all of my email accounts
- be on ESPN to check football scores
- some sort of decent music player (and this is where the Nexus interests me Google Music with the ability to take things from my iTunes account and put them on a phone in a simple fashion, which I never managed on my Droid Incredible)
-ringers based on who is calling/emailing/texting me (this is what I miss most about my Blackberry)
I really think that this is the best phone that will be available before Christmas. I now loathe my iphone, so the 4S is out. The Razr seems nice enough but Motoblur is such a PIA. I did not mind the HTC sense skin as much, but I far from like it. I am hopeful that buying the Nexus will allow be to have first access to the updates without rooting the phone.
I understand that the NFC may not be super widespread at first, but I plan on keeping my phone for as long as it takes me to destroy it, so better to be prepared for what is coming.
The delays have had the odd effect of allowing me to see what sort of issues the phone has and it doesn't seem like any of them will apply to me. Plus there is that silly side of me that wants to have the newest best "flagship" phone. The extra time while quite frustrating has let me know what to expect. I dont think the MP of a camera makes it better or worse, if you look at Canon or Nikon they have updated software/sensor and lowered the MP count and yes the photos really are better.
I think people really need to decide what it is that they want their phone to do and then make their own decision.
