Is there a way to go back to the top of a web page without having to swipe your way all the way up... for instance in some of the threads on this forum, those pages get long and having to scroll to the top can be annoying. The iPad allows you to scroll by tapping the top bar.

on this site and sites built on this same code, at the bottom of the page there is the word "top" you tap to take you to the top.
currently there is no setting in the stock (chrome) browser to do this. perhaps some other 3rd party browsers may have support for this but i can not say for sure.
head over to the google forums and see if there is a request put in for it. i would imagine you are not the only one who would like this feature!

If you are just trying to get the back arrow, you can touch the tab, and the whole bar will appear.
