lol since that's what these obligatory celebratory threads end up being...

Being that its just 1ghz dual core, now that its out i'd honestly say it performs much akin to droid x2. Sorry, but 150 for a droid x2 is too damn much =-/ why no nfc? *sigh* this feels like it was another errm rooster tease for us keyboard jockeys =-/ If it gets rooted, i spose it would be worth looking at through another re-seller for a fair discount. Even now with 10% equipment discount its too much for what i would get =-/

I've had mine for 5 days now, no big complaints. Last phone was an OG Droid, so this thing is like absolute lightning compared to what I was used to.

Small gripes:
-No notification LED
-charge port on top
-battery cover should be rubberized
-keyboard keys could be raised just a tiny bit
-volume rocker on the left side is easy to push, ends up getting pressed while typing
-unlock button being straight across from volume rocker results in pressing both unlock and volume rocker at the same time
-No included micro SD card. Really? Kept my 16gb from the Droid.
-Plugging into USB to PC doesn't come up as a drive, comes up as a "device" instead. Makes viewing contents on PC difficult/annoying. Hoping to find a fix for that.

Other than those small items, I am loving the phone very much. I am a sucker for a physical keyboard, and I wanted to go back to AT&T (VZW for nearly 2 years was sort of a disappointment, and very expensive) so this was really my only real option. Shame that Moto doesn't offer a Droid3 look-alike on AT&T, I played with that device not too long ago, and it's an enormous improvement over the Droid1 and 2.

Hopefully a root solution shows up soon, although I am a bit shy to jump into that while the phone is under warranty. Guess I just need to figure out a good un-root solution that would avoid any questions should I have to return it for warranty work.

ya, the sub and headphones being up top is stuipd =-/
overall, the phone feels really really cheaply made, specially the flimsy battery cover. feel like im going to break it, the micro sd card being under the cover is another to add to the list for me.
the performance is 'decent' for what it is, though im sure with a root solution and getting rid of the crappy bloat ware would make it really fly. The internal storage seems incredibly tiny too.

My biggest gripe though would be the camera. It feels sluggish when taking pictures, and hard as hell to hold with one hand and snap a photo =-(

Got mine on Nov 20, taking it back tomorrow. Overall happy with it except for the first time in all the phones with SD card I have had, you cannot set the SD card as the default space for pics/videos/downloads. Its supposed to automatically default to the SD card, but mine doesnt. When I look at the SD card on my computer nothing is there, everything goes to "USB Storage" - and the external_sd card folder is empty. I even tried the old one from my HTC phone and same thing, the Samsung can read the files on the card, but it wont save anything to it. Its extremely aggravating as I have never had this problem with any other phone. I am hoping AT&T will replace the phone for me. I also agree the back is seriously cheaply made. I had to buy a case to go around it.

Yeah, thankfully I figured out the USB connection / drive mount issue. That was driving me crazy, daily. I've also had it freeze on me twice, hopefully that doesn't become a frequent occurrence.

I have also had some issues with the bluetooth built into my car head unit, but it was also sometimes flaky with my Droid. Just seems a bit more flaky with the Samsung. Ah well. I don't talk on the phone in the car much, but it is nice to not have to dig my phone out of my pocket when someone does call.

Been lurking here for a few weeks so it is time to join ranks! :)

I have had my Glide for 3 weeks now, loving it so far but I too have the SD card issue :(
I have it set to save pictures to the card but it continues to save them to the phone. Maybe it is a glitch that can be addressed with an update? I hope so! Not really a deal breaker for me as I can just take the pics off the phone and save them to the computer but it would be nice to have that option working.

It is great to have a high end phone with a keyboard! I am coming from an iPhone 4 and found typing on the virtual keyboard very frustrating! I am so glad I have the option now to use a qwerty board if I want to! :)

I see what is going on now....dummy me should have known better. I just pulled out the card and put it in the computer. Pictures are all there! If you look at the gallery, there are symbols in the lower left hand corner of each folder. DICM, download and screen capture all have an sd card on it while the camera has a camera symbol. It is saving the pictures but by looking at the symbols on the folders one would think they aren't. Awesome!!!

Did you get this problem resolved? Was there a problem with the phone or was the phone made that way? Thanks so much for a reply.
