Music MP3 download apps for Android, but also for PC too?

One of my favorite features about the Android phones is the Music download apps such as Music Junk, MP3 Downloader etc.

These apps let you search for and download music directly to your phone with basically no ads and no filesonic.com, mediauploads.com type links. Search, click and downloaded.

I've been using my phone to get music for since I got my EVO this way. I havent used any torrent or p2p computer apps, this is so much easier.

Got me to thinking though, does anyone make any apps like this FOR the computer? MAC or PC, that work in the same fashion?

I too would be interested in something similar. As it is I download to my phone, move to my PC via WiFi, edit the album art and tag info, upload to Google Music and finally I'm able to play from my phone again once I'm all done. It would make much more sense for me to be able to download on my PC directly, edit and then stream from my phone and never worry about downloading to my phone and then having to move to my PC, in essence removing a step from the process.

Because it is illegal. Nabster did it, and metallica decided to moan, and sued them. Since then people are a bit worried about making download apps for pc. It won't be long I suspect until people in the power seats find out about the android apps, and start a clamp down.

This will get even worse if America gets it right to pass their new internet privacy and censorship law. (if you don't already know, America wants to pass a bill allowing for internet censorship and privacy. This basically boils down to them wanting to shut down YouTube and anything where there is the possibility of copy right infringement or the possibly of piracy. If that happens, by by torrents, free music, the works)

None of this answers the question. It's still illegal on Android too yet there are plenty of simple and effective apps for this task. Please don't turn this thread into a political pissing match.

I wasn't trying to turn this into a pissing match. The point I'm trying to make is that for now we are lucky to have what we do for android. The ONLY reason I brought it up the politics is to point out that there is an international air of wanting to clamp down on piracy. For a developer to make a pc version would most likely put then on the radar faster than if they're making the apps for phone's. And it is my belief that it is a bulk thing. ( pc's are traditionally better for downloading large content files)

There is of course also the possibility that there are programs to do it. Have you tried googling mp3 download software for pc... There are a ton of options there, and I'm not going to check any of them. Try asking the guys on the piracy forum. Oh, wait...

I guess Apple and Amazon have sewn those markets up with iTunes and Amazon Music. And lawyers.
And Google just jumped into the fray with Google Music. So the big corporations have divided up the PC and Mac music markets amongst themselves. They effectively agree to only 'quibble' amongst themselves for market share but to jointly
