Help I Can't Us a a Custom Ringtone? What??

Love the phone so far but I hope I don't regret switching from Verizon to AT&T. So far so good but....

I cannot find a way to use one of my many mp3s as a main ringtone for the phone. Am I missing something? This was so easy with my previous HTC. I have found where you can assign a "sound file" as a ringtone for an individual in your contact list, but I want to use one for the main ringtone.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

i found a few nice ones, just a few, in zedge and also in "business ringtones".

zedge is easy to find.

however, there a few named "business ringtones", so here is their link. both are free: https://market.android.com/details?...mNvbS5hdXJhLnJpbmd0b25lcy5hdXJhYnVzaW5lc3MiXQ..

since i hate datamining and app spying, i added the tones, saved them on my external sd card under a file i named "ringtones", then deleted the apps.

i only wanted really, really loud, but nice, modern, "normal" phone ringtones, and frankly, there are not many out there. i have spent hours looking and experimenting, and hate music ringtones.

i also learned if you delete the zedge app, you can NOT use the app functionality for notification ringtones, but this was not important to me because i hate unneeded apps spying and hogging my ram. however, when you save a ringtone, it can be used for your phone ringtone, or an individual ringtone.

for an individual ringtone for a contact, go into your contacts, and then choose the special ringtone for your contacts on a case by case basis. for a general ringtone, go into sound, then open "phone ringtone".

also, i use flash notifier, which i have a new post for, and this really helps with notifications. the loudness and the selection of notification tones really is crappy on the sgs2 compared to my friend's iphone 4s notification tones.

if the mp3 size is too big, it can not be used for a phone or individual ringtone. i forget the size, but maybe it is over 300mb? i forget, but ithe size limit is somewhere around 300mb or or more. why a size limit for a phone/individual ringtone? i do not know..
