Help Battery Sucks!!

Um the only ones that stay running are Google maps/voice,phandroid,yahoo,lookout . I turn off auto sync &GPS and have screen to its lowest setting . Also I have telenav GPS it came w my sprint plan and everytime I force close maps and phandroid they automatically turn back on .. I usually leave my house around 9am by 11-12pm at the latest its already at 50% its ridiculous

I'd uninstall phandroid and lookout and see what happens. As for Yahoo how often are you checking mail? If possible turn it off for awhile and see what happens. You do know that Gmail is push, no sync required much better on the battery

I leave auto sync and GPS always on, today 4G has been on too, unplugged at 3:30 and 6+ hours later it's at 70%

Yea I'm on stock. Ill uninstall phandroid and telenav. With my luck ill uninstall lookout and lose my phone that day lol. And yahoo my notifications come in as soon as I get an email regardless of auto sync being on and gmail I won't get until I turn it on then the little circle sync icon comes on and if I have any gmail then it'll come thru but that means it's using sync right? And is it better to keep screen on auto brightness?

I noticed a tweet about someone finding something within google maps that will actually search wifi every minute or similar time frame, even in the latest version, if use location from wireless networks is selected.

Well, I disabled use wireless networks for location, and I got extra battery today for sure. That was all I did, have you tried that? I run everything else, a lot....Normally I was getting say 75% around lunch time, so 4 hours, it dropped 20%. So, today, I was 85% at lunch and that is significant enough to me.

I don't know exact number until I try it tomorrow, but it made a difference and I'll try it again tomorrow and notice how it goes. I was amazed at this, and made it home with a good amount of battery left compared to the past week. Kind of non-technical for sure in a reply of mine, but try that and hope it works for you.

Why does the battery drain Sooo quick on tthese phones? Does anyone have the same problem? What's a good app to help or ya'lls settings to where it helps battery life?

I HIGHLY recommend using Peter Alfonso's latest build.

You can get it here or in ROM Manager: Peter Alfonso: Download: Nexus S 2.6.35.14 Kernel Update

It allows under/overclocking and as such has power schemes built-in. I've run my phone for a full 48 hour period without and additional charge and with fairly normal usage. Obviously, your usage may be different than mine but this has easily more than doubled my battery life.

Also, it's extremely snappy and stable.

And yes, you have to be rooted to use this.
