*Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread

Alright, my alma mater finally signed a new coach worth a crap, now all I need is a word on the Nexus!

On another note, an executive office assistant (whatever that means) has tried to get a hold of me twice after I wrote a pretty respectful letter to one of the VZW execs.

The digitizer on my current Droid is starting to go. Any thoughts on what I should I ask/tell him (his name appears to be Callahan Page, in case anyone has already spoken w/him)? He knows I'm waiting for the Nexus, buuut, I told him my IT guy was the one who was highly recommending it

If BB has it on the 11, then I think there is a pre-order from Big Red starting on the 8th. Every Best Buy rep which are members have talked to have all agreed that they will have it in stores on the same day that Verizon has it in stores.

This is exciting news.

Not sure how @PydePepper exactly fits into this whole SGN thing (testing, consultant, otherwise) but good to see the 8th being confirmed more and more. I really like the part where he says the phone is problem free. Guess we will be seeing 4.0.2 upon opening the box.

Has anyone here ever had the same type of battery door that the SGN has, with the tabs? If so, do those tabs break off easily?

I don't think I'll be removing the battery very often, and with no SD card, there won't really be a need, but still.

I would hope so that was just the first pic I had seen. My truck was still stock at the time. The one in front of me not so much can't wait till I get the rest of my parts and I am able to finish my lift.

i got my wife the iP4s, and Siri blows. Google voice search beats it almost every time. our latest evening entertainment for our kids is to ask Siri questions (e.g., where is the Hoover Dam? where is Yale University?) and see the ridiculous answers that Siri gives - the kids can't stop laughing... so, i guess Siri is good for something.

Not my thinking when it comes to anything Verizon. We've been waiting for the new media guide + other features with FIOS and it's been delayed for ONE YEAR. I kid you not.

My thinking with anything Verizon is "when it's out it's out". Too many disappointments for me to put any stock in any date.
