Has anyone with a rooted but otherwise stock Epic 4G checked the ROM for the Carrier IQ rootkit that Sprint supposedly includes? One of the guys on XDA created an app to check for it, but you need a rooted phone which mine isn't. Just curious as to whether or not this thing is on our phones and what information it's collecting. Sprint claims they use the app for performance & service statistics, but the researcher at XDA who created this app says that it does keystroke logging, password sniffing, and other really crappy stuff.
If this is true, this is the best argument for rooting/romming your phone yet.
