Help Cluzee? Siri competition for Android

I have been following the whole siri for android thing for awhile now and have tried them all, except this cluzee or whatever. So ill give u the rundown from my experiences.

First ill talk abour iris. Its an ok concept but there have been major issues with it from the start. It caught alot of buzz due to its creators making it in 8 hours. Well what they did in 8 hours wasnt much and should not have even been mentioned. You can talk to it on occasion and get a decent conversation going but most of the time it just gives u random facts related to what u said but not a conversation. From the first version it was updated 4 times and on the last one something went wrong and they had to drop everything back to the second update. This has still not been fixed. This app is not practical for anything.
Next i will talk about vlingo. This is arguably the most popular voice app. It is limited in what it can do but for what it does its probably the best. Being that it is so popular im sure it will continue to develop and one day may be even with siri. For now though its capabilities are slim but like i said what it does do it does well.
Speak to it assistant. I like this one because it has the option to create an avatar for your assistant. Mine happens to be a hot chick custom designed to my standards. But you can make yours how ever. This is one of the better ones and has alot to offer as far as function goes. Still needs some work but its comming along fast. This was the very first one i tried out. It set the bar for what i was going to expect from an android version of siri. Great app.
Jeannie. This is hands down the most functional of all the free assistants i have tried and my personal favorite. Its very basic in appearance but a beast when it comes to what it can do. It has some voice recognition issues at times but all of these programs do. The whole google voice software needs an overhaul. This is the best free android assistant.
now for eva. This lady is in the market and runs about 10 bucks, there is a free version that u can try before u buy her. She also has a male counterpart named evan, i think. Anyway, this is the coolest assistant of the bunch but a bit invasive until u adjust the settings. What i mean by that is it will read you an incoming text out loud as its coming in so if its something private you dont want anyone to hear it can be annoying. You can turn that feature off though. Eva is the most complicated assistant ever but thats because she literally does it all, after you set her up. Basically you connect eva to every part of your phone almost making her your phone and not just an app. This is the closest thing to siri we have its downfall though is the complicated set up process. Evertime you do something new you have to set eva up to start doing that something, like the setup process never ends because there is always something new that eva could be helping with in some way. This is the most complicated app of the year folks. Very complex. If your wanting an assistant on your phone and are really tech savy this is what your looking for.

I guess now i will see about locating and attempting to install this new cluzee. Ill be back with what i find.

Ok i have installed and used cluzee for a little while now. Its a nice idea let put it that way. It needs alot more work than a little bit. The weather it gives is good but that was about it. It force closes when i try to call or text. Has trouble finding answers to simple questions, i asked for a chili recipe and it couldnt find one for example. It cant open apps. It does take notes though. Its going to be alot of updates before it is even like speak to it. It does have the potential to be an awesome app i mean this is its first day of release so i dont want to down play it just yet. Im sure the developers have seen the negative comments in the market and are working on its issues right now. If it gets an update and starts running a bit more proper i will let the forum know.

I personally like "Jeannie" and I have been using it for a while now (I upgraded to the $2.99 version though):

Oh, and a MUST...I upgraded my Bionic Voice with "IVONA" (for Free). Very smooth talking now:

That and Tasker and I'm off and running!

EDIT: I just watched the Cluzee video...it looked impressive in the cartoon.

Dan, thanks for the IVONA link - I see it works with Google Nav, which has been irritating me for the longest time.

before GB, I could set the Nav to use a British accent, which means that many directions in my area were more normal sounding, but also that it was much harder to confuse her with the radio or something else.

Since GB, though, I've found that the Nav always uses American English for Nav, and I don't want to change the local of the entire phone just for a Brit voice in Nav.

I'll check out INOVA and see - hopefully when it comes out of Beta it won't be another arm and leg.

You're welcome! I have a question or 2 about the "Beta" Ivona. If I don't "update" would I avoid a charge down the road? Or do you think it has a built in expiration?

Let me know what you think about her voice. :)

I have Jeannie installed. Works very well and after using it a while I paid the $2.50 to help support the developer, Pannous. I don't know of any increased functionality (there may be some) but it seems the right thing to do. A bargain for the price. Fat thumbs apprecitate the voice texting and it is fun to impress with it. You can change the name if you like.

My system version is 5.5.886. Not sure why your having an issue with it. Or why we have different system versions either. Are you running a rooted running custom rom? Im stock. If your having this issue im sure your not alone somewhere someone has said something or will say something to the developer and there will be a compatible update.
