Yeah, I've basically been waiting for "the phone of my choice" since the N1 was being called the Passion, Dragon or whatever other names it had before it was officially unveiled. VZW didn't get it then. They didn't get it on the second go around.... and here I still am. I had to get a phone back then and I purchased the MotoDroid. Its served me well, but it wasn't the exact phone I was waiting for. So I wait...

I know I'm about 50 pages or so late but car are my thing as well. You guys have me on speed, hands down but I doubt there's more than one or two people who can beat me with car audio. ;-)

Sounds like you've got the bass taken care of, now what about highs and mids? Can you even hear the lyrics during a song or just "feel" the subs? ;)

I felt the same way back then. I didn't follow rumors online as much as I have in the last year as my OG slowly died on me. But I remember the feelings of anticipation and frustration and disappointment. - Not that my OG ever disappointed me till he slowed down.

Anyone with a Droid X2 (like me) can see that the Nexus is not all that much larger. I measured about 3/16" in width and 7/16" in height in Photoshop. This picture shows the Droid X sitting on top of the SGN with a red, 1-pixel outline to distinguish one phone from the other.

hate to be a bother, and this may start a trend, but is there any way you can do this for the Droid 3?

This is awesome! Would you be able to do this for the dinc as well? I think there are quite a few of us rocking the dinc and the size is a concern of mine. Thanks!

Phone Size - Phone size comparison made easy![3%2C22%2C66%2C49]

Someone posted this earlier - it's pretty cool - you tell it your monitor size and it shows you the actual sizes of phones.

Boy, people are fast here!

Thx and thx to the earlier poster this is super cool and accurate as heck on my screen! If I could give more thanks I would ;)

camp stuff
Well that's fair - I'm pretty sure mine is haunted. I was a camper from 1992 till 99 and then a counselor on and off till 2004. It's not a 'fancy' camp, it's the staff that makes it so amazing which is why I always recemend it and always will. I hope my kids go there someday.

EXACTLY! It's like forum team building!

 Um, this is my job. I mean, I had a systems-admin-tech-support-pretend-to-be-an-engineer job at a network and telecom hardware reseller for a few years, but I was doing Camp, Childcare and Team Building before that job, and I went back to it after that job. Mostly the team building stuff, but I still help run summer camps and train their staff. It's much more rewarding than all that computer networking stuff. I could totally facilitate a team building session with y'all... and if you do it somewhere that I've worked before, we could even do it all the way to the point of going on a high ropes course together.

Hey guys,

I got a PM from someone named Garland06, that wanted me to post this because for some reason he wasn't able to.

Hey Han,
For some reason AF will not let me post the following (it thinks it has a link or picture in it), so i thought i would send it to you....

"I just got a text from VZW saying that i am eligible for a discounted phone when i sign up for a new 2 year agreement. I didn't really think anything of it, but i decided to call them anyway.
A very nice CSR answered the phone and I kindly thanked her for the text, but told her that i want to upgrade, but i am waiting patiently (well, thats a lie) for the Galaxy Nexus. She laughed and said that she got to play with it and that it is awesome. She then told me to call back on December 7th because that is when the system says it is being released. She sounded very positive about the date. I asked her her if it was a pre-order date and she replied "no that is the actual release date" She said that GNex was just put into the system and that they finally have a page showing the phone ordering information.

Take it for whats its worth. I am not BSing anyone on this. I have never talked with someone at VZW that was a certain as she was. "

Post this if you want, but i thought it was too good to try and figure out why i couldnt post it.

Thanks
G

Thanks for the PM, Garland.

I'm not sure what it's worth, just throwing another log on the fire, that's all.

and more camp stuff

nice! I did that too. Taught outdoor education instead of going to college right after high school. My camp was known for its teambuilding programs. We had corporate and school kid groups for that. Then usually around 4th -8th grade for the outdoor education programs. I love high ropes courses! My camp had one of the first in the country - and had the FIRST technical tree climbing program at a camp any where in the country too! I miss it a lot sometimes. But that's also why I like working in film - its a pretty similiar atmosphere.

Now that I re-read the PM, I smell BS. Not necessarily on Garland's part, but possibly from the CSR?

CSR's are bottom feeders on the food chain. There's no way they would have "played with a Nexus".
