Hi
I am having 2 problems with my Galaxy S2.

1. When I take a photo with the camera it is visible in the Gallery, however, if I turn off the phone or use Kies, when I go to Gallery again the photo is no longer there. If I look in 'My files' the photos are still there in the 'Camera' folder.
I tried using Quick Pic instead of Gallery and it just says 'Not found any pictures in your SD card! (Is your SD card mounted?)'.

2. Similar problem with music. Its in the music folder, but not visible in the Music app.

I'm guessing this something to do with /sdcard storgae versus USB storage but I don't fully understand as I am new to android. By the way I dont have an external sdcard just internal memory.

So confused!!
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the tips. But I don't have an external sd card...just internal memory (which is called /sdcard in the' my files' folder-just to be confusing). Also my internal memory is only half full.
It basically seems as if the 'gallery' and 'music' programs can't access the picture and music files!

I am having the exact same problem with a Galaxy tab after one year of use suddenly it started doing the same as your S2. I am not a newbie and I have tried every angle except reformatting the card, I want to get to the bottom f it before I try that. Something odd is going on.

fixed it! small little thing to.....

Eventually I found a .nomedia file on the same path level as my DCIM folder which housed the photos.
It wasn't in the DCIM itself (where I was looking) just in the same folder as the DCIM. It was also screwing up Quickpic which I had installed. Removed that one nomedia file and all was back to normal.

/mnt/sdcard/DCIM
/mnt/sdcard/.nomedia - erased.

no idea which program put that nomedia file in there, but it was damn annoying.
