***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Anyone know if somewhere like Amazon would have it on release day or the day before and be able to overnight it? I have a $50 amazon gift card I could use towards it (and could pick up more and get fuelperks [20 cents off per gallon per $50 gift card you buy until Christmas]) and save some money that way. :)

Can I use my Amazon.com Gift Card on AmazonWireless?
Amazon.com Gift Cards may not be used on AmazonWireless at this time. However, we are constantly looking at ways to improve our service, and perhaps this will be an option in the future.

Sorry, I had the same idea too!

My local corp. store said they are anticipating a release on the 8th but don't have any more information at this time. She said they expect to know more tomorrow. Going to call then

Otherwise, online order it is for me. Anyone else hoping they start online orders tomorrow night (so they can ship and deliver on Friday). I guess one can hope. :(

Another dreaded CSR story:

I went to my local corporate store after work and talked to a CSR. Asked when they would have the Nexus. He went to the back room, came out laughing and said this Friday, then went back to the room to double check and said yep, this Friday the 9th! I asked about pre-orders and he said there wasn't anywhere in their system to preorder yet...I then asked about quantity, and he said i shouldnt worry about running out bc they arent expecting lines or tents set up outside..he said it isnt like an iphone release where everyone and their dog knows that an iphone is coming out that day. So maybe this whole soft launch is a good thing, bc it allows for us to get our Precious before anyone else even knows about it!!Also, he assured me I could come in Friday morning and pick it up from him! So that is that! haha my GF is going to be pissed when i go visit her this weekend! :)

Here is a pic taken with my OG Droid at my local Verizon Corporate store with the best forum and my user name shown logged in. This phone is awesome, especially since I will be coming from an OG Droid. I was concerned about the size but after holding it for a while it's going to be a non issue. They told me it won't be for sale until friday though... Almost there what a long journey...

P3Droid got his hand on the extended battery...had this to say about it.
Extended battery is the best implemented ever..very. little weight and size added..u can't tell

And more..

Extended battery uses same cases and docks. You can't tell its on there. In fact the extended should be the standard IMO.

Lol. I can't to buy this one in 2014: Motorola Bionic Incredible 2 Prime Z. I believe this phone be the first device to have Android OS 6.2 Moon Pie which features upgraded face shaving technology and french bread pizza maker.

Face Unlock is so 2011. Meet "Psychic Unlock". It unlocks when you want it to, and doesn't when you don't.
