what I was told...

They can't MOVE the date, once its available you can call (or go to a store) and the they can do a "manager override" to order it for you.

It seems like some people always have luck with this and others never do. I've tried several times in the past to get them to move me up, even as little as 2-3 days and the answer has always been "no".

Most of the time it comes down to the fact that I rarely use voice minutes so I have the minimum plan. They used to have a deal that offered early upgrades annually if your voice plan was over 49.99, not sure if that exists still or not.

I've been talking to the two corporate stores in Saratoga - one at the mall, and one at BJs (heh). The mall enver has any info. The salesman at BJs took my name down around halloween, but since then, I've heard everything from "no info" to "we have accessories, so it could be any day now". Either way, nothing concrete. I'll head over to check both tomorrow morning, and Friday obviously.

I had a different experience...

Called VZW about changing my upgrade date from 12/29 to 12/9. They said I was eligible for an early upgrade but it would cost me $20, and I wouldn't qualify for my $50 discount. Definitely can't wait another 20 days for this phone.

Read 10 or 20k threads back about people changing their dates but no mention of an associated fee.

Reasonably speaking though everyone is different. Personally I think Otter Boxes are over rated. As screen protectors go, you never know when something out of your control may scratch your screen, also with a screen protector I can wipe my screen off with just about anything without worrying about a grain of sand caught up in my t-shirt.

You talking about on Amazon? Here are the details I found:

I see what you are saying, but why don't just put out a press release to pacify those people waiting for this phone if not just to take some of the heat off of their customer service reps?

I think those revised opening hours were changed earlier this week. My local corporate shop is opening 1 hr. earlier on Friday and Saturday.
