My phone likes to randomly restart itself now - atleast 3 times a day. It doesn't matter if I'm using it, or if it's just sitting on the table untouched. I have not rooted or customized my phone in any way - yet.

I've had this thing for about 2 weeks, and I've already had it wiped for losing service and not allowing me to connect to internet. It still does this intermittently but is more and more frequently restarting itself. Does anyone know why it's doing this, or has anyone else had this issue?

I've owned this phone since a week after launch. I had one random reboot which was due to an app crashing my phone. Currently its been online for 300 hrs and going strong. I've owned 10 Android phones and this one is by far the most stable phone out there.

I ended up going to sprint and exchanging it, and I'm in my 14 day window to get a different phone model until Saturday. It was doing fine until less than an hour ago it restarted itself - while sitting on the counter >_<. I haven't even put my apps abck on the phone since switching yet!! I don't understand what this is all about. How can it be possible for me to get 2 crap phones when the phone I chose is supposed to be the most stable one out there?

This phone is basically default outside of adding my contacts, moving icons around, and putting the facebook app and the Mobo Task Killer back on the phone - through the market. wth?!? Does anyone know if FB or the Mobo Task Killer cause memory leaks or crash often and make this phone restart on it's own?

No need for a task killer! Get rid of it, they were useful with Android 2.1 and below. Also Samsung has a built in task killer in the event you need to kill an app. The FB app is pretty solid, so my guess would be the Mobo task killer may be causing all this.

I put the task killer on because my phone lasted 4 hours before I needed to charge it, so the Samsung task killer isn't killing anything automatically and my battery is drained super quick. I will uninstall the Mobo task killer though and see if my phone will go the rest of today without restarting. Thanks!

Remember these batteries need to be drained then charged a few times to be fully conditioned. Also, make sure any social media apps aren't constantly syncing like FB. That will drain your battery as well. Do some google searches on this stuff to get some more tips. Good luck!!

Thanks for the tip on draining the battery, I will let it do this a few times before plugging it in to recharge. I have turned off the background data so my apps like FB and email aren't always syncing to try and save the battery.

I've also uninstalled that task killer - hope that was the issue because outside of the restarting and occasional network connectivity drops... I LOVE this phone!
