Checking in from Northern Virginia, I have 3G only on my normally 4G-happy Xoom, alternating with full-bars "No Internet Connection." Ugh! My non-LTE Droid X is, of course, humming along happily on 3G.

Mindless self-centered Cool Story Bro story follows:

I spent all last night cleaning up my Google Music collection in preparation for the Nexus. I went through and added pictures to all my Google Contacts so the People app will be purty on day one. I even have a name for the gorram thing!*

My son has a sleep study scheduled for Friday evening at 8:30.. I have to stay in the next room from him at the lab overnight until 6am Saturday. I was looking forward to having the Nexus to play with during my imprisonment. Alas, I am being punished for my gadget fetishism with a disappointment 99.9% of everyone else don't understand, much less share. Is there a cure?

* Yes, I realize this means I am clinically insane.

That would be normal VZW behavior. Kinda like only Thursday releases are normal VZW behavior. And like I said, my theory if no D4 tomorrow is that there will be no Nexus on Friday. This is all pulled from thin air to add new speculation more than any other reasoning.

Please Confirm for me...This Outage is it ONLY 3g/4g Phones or all Phones?

My OG Droid is Fine in Wisconsin (between Green Bay and Appleton right Now)

PS I know OG DROID Isn't 4G just hearing 3G is going out for others too.

I lost my 4g at around 3pm today. I have been checking on and off and just got it back now. Maybe it will start correcting soon. Doubt this is the problem for the nexus delay, if there even is one. At this point, I'm so confused that I don't know what to think. I just want it to end, but it will only end when i can walk out of a store with it.

droid life says that droid 4 is slated for Dec. 22: Newest Batch of Verizon Release Dates: Galaxy Nexus December 9 – DROID 4, White RAZR and XYBoards After – Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

although, that same article says Dec. 9 for the GNex, so i don't know how much we're trusting their dates. either way, the D4 is scheduled to release AFTER the GNex.

Droid 4 hasn't arrived in stores as far as we know (which we should know by now considering we've seen Nexi). So perhaps it was never planned for a 12/8 release in the first place? Maybe Verizon heard our please and had always intended on releasing the Nexus before the Droid 4?

It was just an anecdotal point that its foolish to believe anyone could or would sell this phone without the approval of VZW. Its VZW's phone at the moment. They own them. So when your boss asks you to do/not do something do you respond by saying "eh, nah don't think so. I went to MIT"
