OK, never done the Android thing...but...

Didn't someone say that all of the nexus devices have released at $199?

Maybe the delay is that Google/VZW had an agreement on this price and VZW was trying to pull some shenanigans at the end and Google finally put their foot down.

A "Bronie" is an adult male who enjoys watching My Little Ponies. Apparently the show has themes and plot lines that are deeper than little kids can understand and are, therefore, intended for grownups to enjoy. I wouldn't know... I refuse to watch one

despite all of the bad news i am still holding out for a launch in the next two days. although i have a really good feeling about midnight or something tomorrow. I guess only time will tell.

VZW corp store #2 - no email received saying yes or saying no, no stock yet

At Costco now... Waiting for his line to die down to pry info it of him

Edit: swing and a miss at Costco. Only knew what he read online :/

If anyone from Verizon is reading this, here is what you should do for ultimate forgiveness...

If the network is still shot tomorrow, make an announcement, formally apologize, say the Nexus will be out as soon as the 4G issues are fixed, offer a timeline of 5-7 business days, and keep us in the loop.

If the network is ready tomorrow, formally announce the Nexus will be available in stores and online Friday. Say that anyone who wants to order online will get free overnight Saturday delivery before 10 AM from Fed Ex. Also say that due to everybody's extreme patience, that you will be rewarding both new contracts and current customers with a tiered data plan by offering A: an unlimited data plan to those who buy the Nexus on contract until December 31st. or B. tiered plan with free mobile hotspot included. Let us choose what we want.

Wanna see how quickly 3 months of anguish and hatred for your company disappear? To quote an annoying snob who I used to hear being advertised on 1010 WINS up in NY when I used to live there, "Take a tip from Papi!"

I agree about not lashing out at him in a vulgar way, although he has been quite crass at times himself. But I can't help but feel like a little karma was served-up for his self-righteousness, gloating and attitude. It stinks as far as development goes, but there will be others to pick up the slack. I haven't seen his buddy black_man_x weigh in on the matter or even offer a word of support. I think that speaks volumes.
