At the moment, there's nothing I want my phone to do that it can't already without unlocking.

Although I know for a fact that some people *cough*my brother*cough* who couldn't resist within days. There's something about having total control of your phone that's irresistible to some people!

Plus there's the fact that there's a little dust under my screen. I'm waiting a few months to see if it becomes impossible to ignore (at the moment, it can only be seen in direct sunlight) - I'd hate to not be able to get that fixed under warranty.

As posted on another thread, Paul @ Modaco has got a HTC Desire rom working on the Nexus, including HTC Sense UI!

Not released yet, but I think that would seriously make me consider unlocking.

On the warranty thing, apparently if it is an obvious hardware fault HTC are repairing phones with unlocked bootloaders.

Well that might give us the the OK. That would make a WHOLE lot more sense, "we'll still fix the phone if its a hardware issue, but if you unlocked your phone and it's bricked now and it's your fault, you deal with it"

This is a lot better than "ohh no you touched your phones software, now I don't have to fix it if anything else malfunctions!!"

I unlocked roughly 4 hours after receiving it. After using the stock ROM prior and then one of Cyanogen's ROMs I'm very happy that I did unlock. I also baked a custom ROM on Modaco to remove certain apps I don't use which take up system resources and use my battery when I don't want them to.

Plus you get that warm fuzzy feeling when you see the open padlock on your boot screen when turning on the phone :D
