Wow.....finally caught up after a few days. Took a nasty spill and haven't felt much like joining in. However, wanted/ needed to add my thank you to Steven. Always a gentle-man .....and much appreciated.
I retire in 8 days. Someone please tell me that this phone will be in my hands by then!
Good night, kids.....and, again, blessings on your head, Steven.

1. Hope you're feeling better

2. Also hope we all have this phone in less than 8 days.

I'm not sure if anyone posted this yet, but did anyone notice the new "buy one get one free" deal for Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon Wireless homepage? It says the deal ends on 12/12 so I feel like the 12/13 release date for Galaxy Nexus might just be right...

Of course, I'm still hoping for the Friday release but might as well throw this speculation out there for some of you to think about :D

We've used the same reasoning with other websales and they have proven to bear no relation to each other. I'm afraid it may mean nothing...

@ BB, What do you do for a living (no specifics necessary, just curious as to your line of work). I'm a community manager for a tech company. So yeah, I browse our forums all day at work, then live in this thread all night...LOL

I am glorified customer service and data entry. Lol. I should do more work but I love you guys and you're all way more entertaining than work

I'm uncomfortable with all the P3 trashing. I've been reading all the comments and something inside of me just twinged.

I appreciate your stepping in to tamp down the vindictive comments in the thread, but this post struck me differently than other people.

Does P3 deserve to be spoken badly because of his behavior? I think so.
I'll tell you a story. I had a personal run in with him when I misquoted him on a Phandroid tip and it got printed. He got upset. I reported it right away and the story was fixied. I felt awful. I felt so bad that I lost sleep for a night or two. I emailed him and and PM'd him on his site apologizing and asking his forgiveness. He didn't/wouldn't respond. Rob told me he reached out to him. He didn't respond. I have reason to resent him, but I let that go.

Wait, what exactly did he do to earn your resentment? According to this description, he just failed to have the courtesy to acknowledge your apology for your mistake. That's a reason to be disappointed, but I don't see why you'd have any resentment to let go of.

You see, his character and behavior has brought him to where he is now. How we respond indicates what is in our nature and character. I prefer to take the high road in this, bless him and even pray for him. I hope that you all would consider my request that you treat him with a respect that perhaps is more and indication of the quality of your character than of what he actually deserves. Think about it. It's good for the soul to take the high road.

Taking the high road is more characteristic of the tenor of this thread. We are not mean-spirited and vengeful here. Here we are loving and familial. We've proved that over and over. Let's do it again. Okay?

It just feels like a mixed message: "X deserves the criticism you're all giving him, and by the way he also deserves criticism for this other thing he did in the past... but let's all take the high road and not criticize him publicly."

I think most of us employ the phone first, wake up second method.

NOW GO TO BED!!!!!!
:D

Yes mistress. I usually don't wake up until I am at work for a few hours. Ugh, I'm such a slacker.

Just got my TPU case in, Glad I read the comment in here about it not being rubbery and being able to take it out of your pocket easily...plus now i can see the size of the phone first hand as I hold it and dream....

Glad to hear that my purchase was justified. I just ordered that case off Amazon tonight as one of my parentals had me ordering 2 different versions of A Christmas Carol and I needed to get to the $25 minimum for free shipping.

I guess I'll be hearing "Ebeneeeeeezer Scroooooooge" when I visit them for Christmas. If I'm not using my Nexus by that time, Verizon is getting a lump of coal instead of my monthly payment.

Would you condemn someone for something in their distant past? If that person was at a point where they already realized what they did was wrong would you still feel the need to punish them? I would, but I'm somewhat of a remorseless monster with no concern for moral standards of any kind, who despises most if not all human contact. I imagine most people are more understanding than I am. At least this is what I view Steven as trying to convey in his posts. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean you don't understand what they are saying.
