If you are referring to me......I didn't laugh and I didn't give a "0". I gave the technician that helped me high ratings. I gave the question, "How likely would you recommend Verizon to family and friends?" a 5. I had a manger call me back. And after the way he talked down to me and treated me, I'd change that 5 to -10. I sent emails to some on the executive team. I would love for someone to take a big chip out of HIS pay.

I understand. It's easy to get frustrated when you want something as bad as we want the Nexus, I just wanted to provide everyone some perspective on our side of it. I just saw the survey rating post and thought about a co-worker of mine who got a "0" on a survey yesterday after he told a customer he didn't know when the gnex was coming out. I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it. It just sucks when a customer wants something that you can't control. But we can drop it, I just wanted to get the message out there while we are calling Customer Service!

Im off to bed, good night!!

Well I'm done for the night. I will be dreaming of 9:00am release of the Nexus. zzzzzzzzzz..............

Ok, like Steven.. not quite off to bed yet..

Kauai is awesome, but I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite of the Hawaiian Islands. Was my brother-in-law and sister's favorite though, they bought land near Kealia.

Midnight..and the Xyboard is now on the VZW website. Grrrrrr. Goodnight!

Off to bed peeps. Hopefully some good news tomorrow!

Good night!!!

To all the people constantly hitting up the online chats with Verizon, may I also point out that when the execs finally make a decision on when to release the phone, they will not do so by walking down to customer service and whispering it in the ear of one of the CSR people. In other words, if one doesn't know anything I'm going to guess that none of them are going to know what you want. Beyond that, I guarantee that any release information is going to leak from other sources onto this board well before you're going to get anything useful out of your chat.

Okay, I was on the "RAZR caused the delay" bandwagon (and I still believe that is what happened partially), but honestly thinking the XYboard has anything to do with it is pushing into JFK and Area 51 type conspiracy. People don't cross-shop the xyboard and the Nexus, two ENTIRELY different demographics, united only by Android. I personally think we can put that one to rest.

Edit: anyone else's "Thanks" button gone??

Lastly, PLEASE do not give bad ratings to representatives like the man on the previous page that laughed about giving a "0". The surveys that are sent out/called out after an encounter with a CSR are literally what we are graded by. It effects our pay. Significantly. You giving a 0 on a survey out of some misguided spite over a release date that was never announced didn't hurt Verizon as a company, but it did adversely effect the REGULAR PERSON you were talking to. It is highly likely that you just chipped off some money off their salary.

Thank you grandaddyd for putting a human face on the consequences of our actions.

"True" is debatable.

...

I'm not saying the GNex is perfect, no device is. But your list of negatives is primarily based on playing the numbers game. There are other factors to consider here, which your list doesn't. Just pointing that out to be fair.

Good post, I agreed with almost all of it. Despite my assessment that Rez has overall slightly better hardware, I would've jumped at the chance to buy Nexus at the same $50 as my Black Friday deal. You'll have first class developer support, and who knows how long it'll take to get either official or rooted ICS on the Rez?

Nexus a damned fine phone, and I'm psyched that tomorrow may finally be the day y'all can get your hands on it!

Drives completely stock until you get on it, then your head gets slammed back.

When I put the meth kit in, I can turn the boost up a little bit and probably get close to 700hp. Most likely I'll just keep it the same and use the meth as a safety factor though. I'm happy where the car is right now.

Who would i talk to about getting an unlocked nexus from Expansys (Canada) to get set up on Verizon?

not to pick on you but I would like to quote our guide...

Could we all just lay off of the csr chat please? or at least the reports?

I completely understand all that but I was just trying to show how little they are able to say. And considering how fast this forum is moving now I didn't even get a chance to read the second post until I had already posted mine. I didn't find anything I said to be harassing or cruel, just interesting. I apologize if I offended anyone though :(

Offering $100 off the xyboard with the purchase of a Razr proves it, atleast to me. The regular consumer that's looking to purchase both would get the combo and save 100 bucks. I know I would if I wasn't such a techy.

OT Hawaii

Ok, like Steven.. not quite off to bed yet..

I'm notorious for not sleeping the normal US hours, I support customers worldwide. :) ;)

Kauai is awesome, but I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite of the Hawaiian Islands. Was my brother-in-law and sister's favorite though, they bought land near Kealia.

Can't fault them for that, beautiful. :)

My heart's true home is simply the Garden Island. ;)

First time I went, some of the people came up to me out of the blue and said they were happy to see me and that they were glad I was well.

I asked them what they were talking about - the reply: clearly you're one of us, but you must have been sick to be so pale, so lightly tan.

I laughed and said I was from the mainland. After a quick chat in their tongue, one turned to me and asked: I have met your kind, I understand. What part of New Mexico are you from and will you be joining our life here?

How can that not be my favorite home? :)

100% spot on.

We'd like to think that a companies employees would be the first to get "inside" info, especially when it pertains to thier sales force about a new product release. But for whatever reason, Verizon is paranoid about release date leaks, and takes extreme measures so that only the inner circle knows the full story.

My eyes were opened a long time ago when I was working for a successful tech company. I happened to check our stock price one morning, just on a whim and saw in the PR wire............that we'd be sold. I took this info to my manager, who had no idea. Went to our VP, who had no idea of the sale. The president and CFO were the only two people who had any knowledge of the sale.

I'm not counting on it by any means. In fact, I give it a very small chance, but my hope is that VZW's whole "silent launch" deal is because of Moto (Razr + this promo, etc) That said, my singular hope is that there will still be a silent launch tomorrow. I know I'm reaching, but I'll not give up hope until my rep says "no dice".

Sorry, can't be done. Trust me, if it could, there would be a lot less of us still in here (even if it didn't have LTE). There is no CDMA Gnex currently for sale, and VZW doesn't support GSM.

What he said.
